Dead Space arriving in Europe earlier than expected
Max Payne theatrical trailer releasedEarlier we reported that Sony has dropped their long lasting advertising partner for 13 years, TBWA/Chiat/Day from their PlayStation account. With that said, however, we can now reveal that the platform holder has chosen a new partner.
Los Angeles based company Deutsch, has won the bid (it wasn’t really an actual contest) to be added to the USD 150m PlayStation advertising account. Some of the candidates for the job included Publicis & Hal Riney, Publicis West, Grey, Young & Rubica, and JWT.
It should be noted that this is SCEA only, TBWA still remains to be on the PlayStation account in Europe, but things could change. Either way, with all the great titles coming out in 2008, it should be interesting to see how this new firm takes the wheel.

The Universe of Entertainment ads were the best any company has ever done....Why would Sony trash this? I'm sure this Deutsch or whatever the fck it's called will not make any near as good. I definitely hope I'm wrong. Please prove me wrong, deutsch.

psn id: gingo.... advertisin sells games so the better the advertisin the more games and consoles will get sold so this is definetely good news
This can only be good because so far the marketing thats been done on the ps3 and its games has been rubbish. Hopefully this new company put more money into advertising games to make the ps3 look more like a gaming console with blu-ray functionality and less like a blu-ray player with gaming functionality.
They better start pumping out awesome ps3 ads in time for Christmas.
The latest ads will have to suffice for the time being, the energetic "universe" ads are cool but the old company was probably running out of good ideas beyond that. The company they switched to has a LOT of familiar american ads Like Saturn Automitive, Tylenol, and a few others. Nothing on their resume says: we make killer video game ads but they do seem to know good marketing. I'd expect to see their ads start showing up in march.

Maybe truf the uni website/GFX designer and get in a proper website company, who can make a proper working website.
their website was working fine this afternoon, I guess everyone's rushing over there to see what they can do and wrecking their site. It's working fine right now though.
Hopefully they can do a better job than the old one...
