Devil May Cry on PS3 to feature exclusive content?

According to 1up.com, the latest build of Devil May Cry 4 not only looks better on the PlayStation 3 but also plays better than its Xbox 360 counterpart. One of the many reasons behind this could be the extra features Capcom is including in the PS3 version of the game.

In this month's issue of Famitsu, a popular Japanese magazine, they reveal that Capcom will be including exclusive features in the PS3 version of Devil May Cry 4. Some of these new features include; 5.1 LPCM audio, PSN support, and the option to install data to the hard drive. Apparently though, game data takes up 5GB of storage, but on the bright side of things, it removes all load times in the game.



As of now, there is no word on what Capcom has planned for the PlayStation Network. Whether it's episodic content, new characters, new weapons, or even new bosses, we'll take it.

Also if you are a fan of Devil May Cry 4 and haven't dropped the cash on buying a new PS3, look no further; Sony will be releasing a new Devil May Cry 4 PlayStation 3 bundle in Japan.

    Sweet, I like the no loading times, same with Unreal Tournament 3, they`ll be releasing a 5GB download that stops loading times. xD

    psn id: gingo...capcom have realised that the typical xbox gamer isn't really a fan of japanease based games but playstation fans certainly are so this is capcoms way of giving us a little gift

    This will quiet all the "360 version is better cuz of achievements morons". 5GB ain't '''' really especially considering ZERO load times. Anybody whose played DMC3 will gladly take that hit. Besides once I'm finished with the game I'll just delete the data.

    this game just looks better and better, the funny thing is,  sony didn't even have to bribe capcom to get this exclusive content. anyway, all the dmc fans will be on ps3. at last capcom are paying attention to ps3 owners

    I think after the whole DMC4 going multi-plat and MH3 going as a Wii exclusive, Capcom had to do something to satisifie the PS3 community, I mean the reaction to Lost Planet wasn't what they wanted. So the fact that Sony didn't have to bribe them is really no surprise, and thanks to this I'm considering getting the game again.

    Get a bigger hard drive! You can get a 160 gig on New egg or tigerdirect for close to 100$ I switch mine out in less than 15 minutes. Very easy!

    BOOYAA! A multiplatform title that is superior on PS3! This is what i always wished for. And from Capcom, to boot. I just hope the special ed. 2nd disk is bluray not dvd.

    lol oh come on guys. exclusive content like  - installing to hard drive and PSN stuff??? ok ok the audio is neat but u can hardly class the other two bits as "exclusive content" ; )

    I'd be willing to bet money on downloadable weapons and characters.

    This might actually make me get the game.  The whole prt thing made me mad but this sure does throw a wrench at the 360.

    I'm going to be honest I hate Devil May Cry never liked the series, honestly it fails as a platformer for me. A demonic ninja gaiden button masher to me =. I just am waiting for Resident Evil 5, much more fun ( in my opinion) than this.

    If Sony had any brains they would have allowed Capcom to create game content to be transfered from Dante's Awakening Special Edition over to DMC 4. This way encouraging PS2 owners of the four earlier releases to upgrade to PS3. Im tempted to buy DMC 4 on PC just out of protest.

     

    Hardware BC with PS2 is critical. PS3 should not be so broken.

    I can't wait for this game! Gameplay looks awesome and the story seems to be pretty interesting as well.
