While attending E3 this year, we snagged a couple details on the upcoming off-road racer from Codemasters, DiRT 2. First off, like the first game, DiRT 2 is on track to receive a playable demo on the PlayStation Network.

"I'm sure we'll have a demo around early September on PSN," said Matt Horsman, the Chief Games Designer on DiRT 2, when speaking to us at E3 09.

Horsman also revealed that the PS3 version of the game will include the screen-capture feature added in the 2.50 firmware update.

"For PlayStation we have that new screen-capture feature," stated Horsman, "so that's included."

We'll have a full DiRT 2 interview up in a little bit.

Im sick of it all being in America (mostly), and it all being sandy. I want snow, rain, and Scandinavian tracks. Like a rally game should be.

no need for this game on the ps3 codies....GT5 will have F1, NASCAR and WRC etc all on one disc in stunning 1080p at a nice 60fps. you better hope sony don't release it the same time as DIRT 2 because it's going to blow all the other racing games out the water. FACT

@ 14...you sound like the fanboy with a comment like that.....just not a sony one, anyway if you think GT fans need to defend GT5 then i would make an appointment for a brain scan as you obviously don't know how popular the GT series is.

Rally races in GT are no way as good as does from codemasters, I'll even go to say they are a total joke and should be banned from GT! Pus I'm fed up of GT unrealistque AI behaviour, GRID is way better than any GT to date in terms of realism and AI, plus you have realistque damage whilst in GT you can take turns by smashing into walls or other cars and continue!
