EA predicts the PS3 to outsell Xbox 360 in 08

When game publishers talk, people listen. But when that publisher is EA, people stop what they are doing and take notes. With as much sway in the industry as EA has, they have a huge grasp on the inner workings and future of gaming.
EA recently made a prediction that the Nintendo Wii would continue to dominate in 2008, to no surprise. One startling guess that they have made, however, is that the PlayStation 3 would outsell the Xbox 360 by a large margin.
According to the predictions, the Wii would outsell both of its competitors soundly, with an estimated 12-14 million units this year. Very solid numbers compared to Sony and Microsoft's projected sales of around 10 and 7 million respectively. So, according to EA, the PS3 will sell about three million more consoles this year than the 360.
Now, keep in mind that these estimates only pertain to the North American and European market and are guesses based on research. Be sure to check back for all the latest in sales numbers here at PSU.

and thats comng from ea... HA HA HA HA HA omg they themselves think that the ps3 wil outsell the 360 yet they give ps3 users the short end of the deal omg dumba**es
on another note, of course the wii will outsell them $200 cheaper and user friendly to non gamers but its really a whole other market because theyre going after a completely different demographic nintendo said it themselves several times

Just don't **** up the PS3 version of Dead Space. Make all the predictions you want but please don't **** up that game.

EA aint as bad as you all think and i would think u would buy some of their games when they come out, like Army of Two, Battlefield:bad company, and ect. to support them so that they will begin making all there games on the ps3 first.

EA said this about the PS3? Where is the news headline about h*ll freezing over and monkeys flying out of the Kool Aid guys butt. Both of these must've happened considering what EA is predicting. OH YEAH!!!! I really hope this happens.

but they are right! well done EA. they must have seen all the good ps3 exclusives coming. we'll outsell 360 this year and wii next year. this console war will end like the last one. ps2 still sells good and xbox and gamecube are both extinct ages ago

I CANT BELEIVE EA IS BEING SO STUPID!... oh wait, there not? Man im so use to them saying the hate the ps3 or somthing like that. Well this is a change. Maby Microsoft got of with a bad start with them or somthing today. Or maby... :-O maby they have finly relized that they need to make some good games for us! :-D

PS2 out sells 360 in japan 2:1 enough said on the asian market. My friends and I have talking talking about PS3 outselling crashbox3fixme in 2008 ever since we saw the line up for games. EA is stating nothing else then many of us PS3 user's already knew. It does shock me though that they are finally adimiting it..

The only thing I ever see EA do is if they have bad PR, they say things to get back those who were swayed by their antics and whatnot and this is no different. Stop choosing other consoles as their lead consoles and stop making crappy ports. It doesn't help the PS3games division at all.
