EA regrets using topless models in ad

Just admit it; sex is something that has always been with the gaming industry for a very long time now. It is now to the point where many developers will run to the point where they are literally relying on sex to sell a game. Furthermore, the gaming industry is blurring together with other big entertainment outlets, the porn industry.

Electronic Arts recently used Page 3 models, in an advertisement for Need for Speed: Pro Street. The images appeared on Page 3.com and featured topless models posing alongside a Ferrari, with the NFS and EA logo featured openly.

An Electronic Arts spokesperson commented has since commented on the matter, stating:

“We regret that these images slipped through the proper EA approval process. They were not appropriate for our brand. The original site has been taken down this morning."

The images can still be viewed online; however, the EA/NFS association with the photos no longer exists.

Haha!  EA pulled out the sex object card to sell Need For Speed: Pro Street.  Whatever happened to selling a game on its merits alone?  The Need For Speed franchise used to be the staple of console and computer arcade racing.  They have really dropped the blall on this franchise and it isn't the first time.  Oh well, no loss to me.

@Morganator - Let's face it, if EA currently tried selling their PS3 games on merit alone, they'd need to pay us to take them!

I have absolutely no respect for EA. I'm glad PS3 sales are doing terrible for them, whilst COD4 and Assassin's Creed sales are doing tremendous on the PS3. You would think EA would learn something, but obviously not.
