College football fans don't have that much longer to wait until they can get their hands on the newest installment of NCAA Football 2009. With each passing year of the current generation of gaming, we've watched EA Sports slowly improve certain aspects of the game and also create other bugs that detract from it; however, with the release of this feature set, it looks like EA Sports is ready to impress the College football fanatics once more unlike ever before. We've included the list of features below and would like to point out a few of them after you get the chance to take a look.

Wide Open and Authentic College Style Gameplay
* Bigger holes, cutback lanes, and open receivers, making the game feel more wide open than ever before

* All-New Mini Games
* Random play selection in practice mode

* CPU vs. CPU (watch mode)
* Smooth 60 FPS on PS3
* Even teams option in play now

We'd like to first point out the most important part of the entire list and that is the 60 FPS on the PlayStation 3 console. We know you guys have been complaining about this for the last year, so that can finally stop and you can expect the same product on both consoles now.

One of the other great options is the online roster sharing aspect. This means you won't have to worry about downloading named rosters from the net for transferring, you can just pick it up online. We're very glad EA finally added this function to the online capabilities, it is long overdue.

The feature were most excited about checking out has to be the "Online Dynasty" feature. We can only imagine what they're trying to do here and hopefully it works out fine. It would be fantastic if people could check out other users Dynasty history and things of that nature.

Overall, it looks like EA Sports is ready to knock your socks off like they used to be known for. This doesn't sound like we can just expect the same game with an update on rosters like we've slowly grown accustomed to. NCAA 2009 sounds like it is going to be worth the day one purchase and we'll definitely be bringing you not only a preview of this game, but a full on review as well in the coming months.

Keep checking us for more coverage as EA has promised to release more information leading up to their end of April announcement of the 2009 PS3 cover athlete.

    Hm regardless of what the article stated, I still have my skepticisms about EA when it comes to doing work on the PS3. The 60 FPS does make me smile a bit though.

    Nice! This game was great as it was. Now with better features added, this game will be even better! The gameplay has been great and seems to be getting better with things like bobble catches and more home-field affect!

    I agree with you Fantasy.  I've been a hardcore EA fan for a long time now and I've been disappointed lately like the rest of you.  I'm just glad that they're trying to make things right again.  I was definitely surprised with the set of features they released to the community today.  You really have to admit that that list is quite impressive in comparison to what they've been showing the past couple of seasons.

    Online dynasty would be huge especially if it's multi-player!

    great additions to a great game but not enough.  ea disappointed me so much last year i didn't buy a single ea title.  They need to let PS3 owners know that the framerates for these games are at 60fps.  It's good that it's here in the article but i need to see ia side by side video and hear it from the horse.  This game needs to be on par or better than the 360 release and release on time.

    Sounds like this game is going to be way better than what the Madden team has to offer.  They'd better step up their game or we'll have a new football champion.  Online dynasty........oh heck yeah.

    It won't be right until they do it right.  Dynasty Mode for example, is how you would "COACH".  Meaning, you "coach" the whole game, recruit, set the depth chart, and schedule.  However, it does not mean, YOU are to control your players actions!!!  I want a "COACH MODE"!!!  Dynasty Mode is not Coach Mode!!!  I'm a CFB fan, not NFL, so don't tell me to buy NFL Coach from EA....I don't want it.  Also, get rid of the flipping "Difficulty Levels".  Use the players stats only.  I don't want it to be harder to beat a D-II school, just because it's on "Heisman".  If the O-line's stats dominate the opposing D-line, then it should reflect that....not boost their stats because of a difficulty level.

    Fix this EA!!!!
