EA unveils Facebreaker

Electronic Arts has announced development of a new Boxing title named Facebreaker for next-generation consoles.
Due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii, this all-new franchise will attempt to capitalize on the casual gaming audience, and is currently in development at EA Canada.
The game will also demonstrate EA’s new Real-Time Facial Deformation Technology, and allows users to customize their characters by placing their own photos on selected combatants.
Peter Moore, President of EA Sports, commented: "Arcade boxing takes me back to my roots in this industry, and this game signals our shift to adding more approachable fun to our product lineup."

YES! This is great news... Ive been waiting for another boxing game to be annouced for the PS3 - especially after finding out "Don King presents Prizefighter" is a 360 exclusive. But still I wish they would just capitalise on their already established franchise: Fight Night.

i think they are replacing fight night with this, reason i believe so is that, wasnt the team responsible for the "fight-night next gen series" closed down or something due to non-profit or expense forecasts? the game is supposedly being made by EA Canada, usually that team is designated for fps or even the need for speed franchise, the "fight-night" team was based in chicago...
