F.E.A.R. 2 banned down under

Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification has claimed its latest victim in the form of Monolith’s upcoming FPS, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin.

The horror sequel has been refused rating down under, joining a rapidly growing list of titles banned in the region including Dark Sector, Fallout 3 and Silent Hill: Homecoming.

Bizarrely, the OFLC refused to divulge its reasoning behind the decision, though there’s always a chance Monolith may submit an edited copy in the hope it may avoid the proverbial ban hammer for a second time.

    Man I was looking forward to this game, not cool.  Hey since when was dark sector banned, I've seen it in the shops.

    Banning is exactly what it sounds like sadly. The unedited version of the game will not be allowed into the country courtesy of our fantastic customs officers.

    I was looking forward to this too.

    I didn't know they banned Fallout 3, that s@cks. Dudes in Aus. so sorry. I say we all should e-mail Insomnic and tell them to make an Aus. level for Resistance 3. We in the US feel for you guys/gals. :(

    you know there's a law against us importing banned games? LOL! how are they gonna police that? wait by the docks for illegal games? pfft. i dont really care ill jst get it on ebay for cheap anyway.
