Famitsu has an interesting article on the upcoming PlayStation Portable revival of action title Parasite Eve, with producer Hajime Tabata describing the game as a "true third person shooter.”
The main character is revealed as ‘Aya’, a hero with the ability to utilise the power of time to look into mysterious circumstances and to fight enemies. Prince of Persia has a lot to answer for.
Coming from the same studio currently producing the online-integrated Final Fantasy Agito XIII, it seems likely that multiplayer will feature heavily in Parasite Eve, though Tabata refused to be drawn on whether ad-hoc or infrastructure support will be included.
For those of you too young to remember, the original Parasite Eve was a PSone survival-horror classic designed by the legendary Hironobu Sakaguchi. Hopefully we’ll get a PSN re-release closer to the launch.
