Far Cry 2 alpha build gameplay footage

Far Cry 2 is going to be one of the most sought after titles for the PlayStation 3 console. After being spoiled silly with a great FPS like Call of Duty 4, PlayStation 3 fans are going to be overly excited to see how this game is coming together.
This footage comes from the February issue of UbiSoft TV. The video brings a nice look into the many uses of the flamethrower. Though the video clip is obviously short, you can make your own basis of opinion on the video below.

Hmm, seems to be console from the rigidity of the movements. Doesn't look too bad for alpha!

Alpha footage + low-res, overcompressed flash video. Doesn't even look bad despite that.

u should wait till the March issuse of Playstation Mag hits stores. They have a 5page article on it. You will be a beliver. 60+ hrs of gameplay, 30+ wepons, sun will rise and set. It will be out late this year. PS3 PC, and 360 are getting it.

you guys this is alpha build dont criticize it yet gosh your not even giving it a freaking chance this is why devs are always so hesitant to show footage of games that arent finished yet is because most people are overly critical and are blind to see the pontential within the unfinished product and go Oh iT SuX0RZ

Wow, it looked better than Crysis before, now its pretty upsetting. Too bad Crytek isn't developing this game.
And to the person above me. Ubisoft Montreal is developing the game. Crytek isn't making Far Cry seeing as Ubisoft owns the name Far Cry. Thats why Crysis is published by EA games. Crysis will probably be ported to PS3 then hopefully Crysis 2 will come out next year :D

Its quite difficult to form any opinions based on this footage. I'll have to wait for something a bit more substantial before commenting.

Very nice, looking good. You can see in other videos of the pc version. The game is supposely taking place in gigantic maps. I think one map you are in africa, people chase you down in jeeps and everything. I thought crysis was going this route with freedom, but it looks like farcry2 is going to bring that.
