Far Cry 2 coming this fall

Ubisoft has revealed a more accurate release window for its upcoming FPS, Far Cry 2. The publisher disproved recent rumours of a delay by announcing that the game will arrive this fall (autumn).
The title had been pushed into the company's 2008 financial year a couple of months ago, and some began to believe that this suggested a slip into 2009.
Thankfully this won't be the case for any platform, according to Ubisoft. They're hoping for a simultaneous release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
A demo should be released at some point too, but a release for this has yet to be decided.
Far Cry 2 will be a big change from the original. Not only is it set in Africa, instead of a tropical island; it's also built on a different engine. Crytek moved on to the recently released Crysis, allowing Ubisoft to create the sequel.
We'll have more on Far Cry 2 very soon.

Is this game better than Crysis? I have not been following these games.

I will be passing this one up because of the recent probems from Ubisoft games like rbsv and rbsv2 unless these problems are fixed i will be passing this one up but we will have to wait and see. Ubisoft is starting to let me down with there ports and online play.

I'm really looking forward to FarCry 2. I almost hate to say it, but I'm looking forward to Far Cry 2 more than Resistance 2, but not more than Killzone 2 of course.
Since reading about Far Cry 2 in a past issue of Playstation Magazine (I think that it was the March 2008 issue) this game has just got me hooked. According to Playstation Magazine, they said that Far Cry 2 will be about a 60 hour game if you complete everything and explore, and that's like a dream come true, a 60 hour FPS, that's awesome.
But, I have to agree with Gingo somewhat because there are several PS3 game titles coming out this Fall that I will be picking up and I just might have to miss Far Cry 2 until early next year.

@10
Hopefully the port for FC2 should be good. This is Ubisoft Montreal.
@11
I can relate, I read the March OPM issue at the bookstore and it said that the PS3 version could do many things that the 360version can't.

i don't think i'm gonna be buying anything from ubisoft so soon, i'm disappointed with the online of R6V2, it seems it's not a finished game, with all the bugs and all, 60 dollars for a bug ridden software, not again...i'll wait for the reviews first and input from the community before i buy any ubisoft game again

Who thinks this will be an epic failure on the PS3? *Raises hand*
On another note, RSV2 was another bug-filled installment. Too bad though, I really wanted to get it.
