Koei's futuristic racer, Fatal Intertia, was supposed to be a launch title for the PlayStation 3. It is finally set to debut on the system next month, but don't expect it to show up on retail shelves. Fatal Inertia EX will be made available over the PlayStation Network. Unlike GT5 Prologue and Warhawk, Fatal Inertia will be exclusive to PSN. According to MTV Multiplayer, the game will cost $29.99 and feature solid multiplayer action.
"After the launch of the Xbox 360 version, we had a unique situation that allowed us to reflect on what could be done with the PlayStation 3 version," commented lead producer Mike Bond in an e-mail interview with Multiplayer. "But having watched the growth of the PlayStation Network's user base and the game's multiplayer component, we felt the strength of this game would be in its online community."
For many of you dual-console owners, you may remember the 360 version was said to be rather trite. Although Koei claims they have learned from their mistakes, with WipEout HD just around the corner, it may be difficult to convince the masses.

Amazing thought Sony. Put a bunch of PSN games on a DVD or BD and sell them for $60 or less. Super Stardust HD, FlOw, Super Rub a Dub, PixelJunk, etc.
