February NPD: Killzone 2 sells 323k units, Street Fighter IV 403k

The results for February’s NPD sales have been released, with Wii Fit coming at the top with 664,000 units sold, followed by Street Fighter IV shifting a massive combined total of 849,000 units, 403,000 of those being on PlayStation 3.
Killzone 2 meanwhile sold through 323,000 units, and, while this might seem fairly low for such a high profile title, it should be taken into account that it was released towards the end of February, meaning it gained 323,000 units in just two days.
The top ten list:

7.Call of Duty: World at War (Acti Blizz, 360) - 193K
8.Mario Kart DS (Nintendo, DS) - 145K
9.New Super Mario Bros (Nintendo, DS) - 144K
10.Guitar HeroWorld Tour (Acti Blizz, Wii) - 136K

The wii amazes me. Not graphically, but by the amount of sales it has. Good news for KZ2 though.

Even though its only like 2 days Street Fighter 4 is multiplat so its pretty obvious it will sell a little more because its on 2 platforms.

Who the h3ll is buying Wii fit and Wii play, in fact who is buying anything to do with the god damnd Wii. Do people not realise that they are buying into an electric door stop or dust collector
Nintendo must have contaminated the worlds water supply with "Buy a Wii its fun" HONEST! potion.
Please stop buying this useless console and lets rid the world of this silly white external cd rom drive, that fits into a base at about a 20 degree angle. (this really makes an external cd rom drive look cool)
I can only assume that the people buy these fall into three catagories, kids, parent hastled by kids or over weight people who cant be bothered to go outside to exercise, for starters if i want to get FIT i dont want to stand in front of my tv with a silly gimmiky aerobics step being told to wave my arms about like a complete idiot by some stupid cutesy character with a big head. If i want to get fit (heres a new idea!) get on your mountain bike and go for a ride, go for a jog, a walk perhaps maybe even visit the local gym, but please dont supprt this idiotic trend of following the instructions of some big headed weirdo on your tv.

By now you have probably guesed that im a big fan of the Wii, well come on lets face it the games are rubbish the graphics are rubbish the controlls are rubbish to the extent that nintendo had to make an add on to make them more RESPONSIVE! and on the hole its all round pretty rubbish, unless your 3 of course.
But hey lets hand it to them for coming up with that Wii is fun potion, maybe Sony could try and get hold of the recipe.

PSU if you want to consider yourself a legitimate news source, do yourselves a favor and update this article with the fact that KZ2 was only on the market for two days. Framing it in the way that you did looks like an attempt to legitimize your rediculous "double game of the month" article and makes this entire website look even worse.

I would like to see how much it sold during March. That will give you a better idea of how it has sold and if it did as good as it should have. I am guessing over a million worldwide. Probably close to a million in the US alone so maybe close to 2 million worldwide which would be very, very good.
350k is 2 days is very good though. More advertising, that number would have been alot higher.

For those who say Killzone 2 is just another shooter and that it is nothing special... I say this:
I have never bought into the usual PS3 fanboy hype. I laugh at MGS4 and don't think the PS3 is all that healthy in the marketplace... I don't follow the usual pro-Sony hype... and I was not all that geeked out about Killzone 2... but then I played it... and while the single player game is just good, with some cool stuff tossed in, the MULTIPLAYER is where this baby shines. I think Killzone 2 has the best multiplayer in any FPS... ever. And that is not fanboy gushing, that is from a pretty pessimistic point of view. I think it is an incredible game online. -

God if i became dictator of the world there would be no such things as a Wii or CrapBox... Wii would be renamed Kiddy Box 123, and GayBox would be eliminated from this world for it is an insult to us gamers ( it totally fails on the hardware ( I think they should hold a Xbox Blowing Meter on the website displaying the number of CrapBox blown so far O_O ) side AND name lol ). PS3 well it does what it says and quite well .. play station 3rd gen. Now lets hope people realise this and give it support so that all the good software aimed at teens and above COMES TO US mu u hahaha lol.

I knew SF4 would outsell KZ2, so it's not really a surprise. That game has a legacy dating back over a decade, while the original Killzone was basically, umm, not good in any way. The only reason anyone even cared about KZ2 was because of the graphics.I'm not trying to take anything away from KZ2, as alot of people enjoy it, I'm just not one of them. I am a 2d fighter fanatic, and enjoy the longevity that SF offers. People still play SSF2 for gods sake. Glad to see SF selling so well. Surprised it sold more on 360, but then again the online is much better so that's a factor. It was for me anyways.
@24 LFD IS A FPS that uses the source engine for christs sake. Have you not played it??
@25 they both suck for fighters. Arcade sticks are the only option, but if you can't afford one, the new SF4 Madcatz pads are great.
