Final Fantasy Versus XIII in-game shots revealed

Yesterday we reported that Square-Enix has revealed that 2008 will be the year for Final Fantasy XIII information. Well in consistency with this statement, the highly regarded Japanese gaming magazine, Fatmitsu, is in possession of some of the first ever in-game screenshots of Final Fantasy XIII Versus.

The screenshots do not show much about the game, other than detailed images of its two central characters. There are many scans in the issue for the title, but there are two primary screenshots that definitely stand out:

Square-Enix has made it their best effort to take full advantage of the PS3’s hardware capabilities to push the graphics on the console to a higher level. Perhaps in the coming weeks more and more Final Fantasy XIII info will spill out into our possession.

    oh yeah I saw these ysterday. the real-time graphics dont deviate too far from the CG stuff.

    my god! just look at those sweet graphics polygon splendedness!

    Absolutely sweet.  This is one of the games that helped me convince my girlfriend i really needed to spend the money on a PS3.  I didn't reliase that there was a female main in Versus though.

    i've said it once and i'll say it again..this is a PS3 site.. so why do they make it so you cant see pictures or view the movies ON YOUR PS3 BROWSER! step it up! kind of pisses me off. i want to see these pictures but can't because they arent ps3 browser friendly.

    Awesome! IF those are really in-game shots, then it just might be true that SquareEnix did their best to utilize the ps3 to the fullest.

    edit: Is it just me, or the girl looks much better (graphics wise) than the guy?

    well unfortunately the guy looks like a wimpy EMO KID! and the girl looks like a cheerleader in a preppy highschool outfit.....i hope one of the ingame characters is a SPARTAN!!  so the real men can relate to someone!

    How about 2008 being the year that the game is released.  I'm tired of how they keep pushing back the game.  It was supposed to come out by Christmas '07, then in 2008, and now, it's not even one of the "Most Anticipated Games of '08".  However, we should be so gracious to see more SCREENSHOTS!?!?!?  Give me a break.

    Sure would like to get a demo or something at the Playstation Store like Folklore, just so I could get my "tip" wet.

    Oh, and BTW, these are nothing more that "screenshots" of the "Extended Trailer", that came out weeks ago.  GMAFB!!!!

    yea shamuria7 its much easyer to relate to half naked men?? soo shut it and respect the terific game design u butt hole.... i find it hard to relate nude men that moan and scream alot..

    Being a big fan of ff7 and ff8 i honestly think that ffxiii and ffxiii versus will bring back the classic storyline in its own form like how the stories were epic in ffvii and ff8.
