In the latest issue of Dengeki, Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura revealed new details on the Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy XIII collection.
With Final Fantasy XIII nearing completion, Nomura said that his efforts have turned to mainly Final Fantasy Versus XIII and Agito XIII. According to Nomura, the Final Fantasy VII and Versus XIII teams are nearly the same, with the team making no compromises to increase the overall quality of the game. Currently, the Versus XIII team is testing the battle system and town lighting for day and night cycles.
"It felt as though the town really existed in front of me," said Nomura.
Apparently, Nomura has some "very surprising" info around the corner, and it's not the new Final Fantasy XIII trailer that will be shown at E3. We'll be sure to keep you informed of any further developments.

@ 10
FF11 FTW.
If this is as Enviormentaly detailed as FF11, but not online.... Wow!.
If this is going to where i think it is, Then this game is going to be amazing.
A game based on Reality, Thats as advanced as FF11, With KH battle system, and PS3 Graphics at max?!?! Almost speachless. They did say they were gonna use all the prossesing power they could but i did not expect them to go into this much detail.
You just won my heart back SE -

@ Everyone saying THIS BETTER NOT BE 360
i can almost say 100% it CANT be.
For the sole reason of them using so much prossesing power in the PS3 and now also this.
I dont believe this game is possable on the 360. Theres like a 1% chance im wrong but. Trust me, im not lol. When this game comes out, its gonna be bigger then when 10 came out. -

millions care, when it comes to enjoying final fantasy's unique, beautiful and mersmerising art in diffrent day and night cycles. if it was something like call of duty, then yeah, who cares, since u see that scenery everyday in ur life since its all based on reality :)

Day and night cycles would actualy be somewhat significant even if some of you unappreciative fools don't think so. If Versus has a true day/night cycle, it's probably the first FF game to have it. Probably all FFs and even KHs involved going to a completely different area/region in the game or triggering a special event for different day lighting/weather. Anyway, I figured there would be both day and night environments after seeing all of the trailers and seeing the screenshots in the Versus section of Cloud Message that show Noctis and group members in a countryside environment during the day. It should be easily inferred by most people but it's nice that Nomura is giving others a heads-up.

I wonder, will it be a real 24-hour cycle, or something quicker?
