The first concrete details on 2K’s BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams have emerged from the depths following the launch of a special teaser site entitled ‘There’s Something in the Sea.’

After rummaging around the site for a while, we can confirm that Sea of Dreams is an actual sequel to the events of the original critically acclaimed shooter, not a prequel as originally suggested.

According to details unearthed on the swanky flash site, the story revolves around the disappearance of a seven-year-old girl from a sleepy fishing town overlooking the coast.

The website states: "Local fisherman Eamon Clune, 44, and his wife Charlotte (32) were awoken by the sudden shattering of a window in the front room," adding, Moments later, his daughter Maura, age 7, screamed. Mr Clune rushed to investigate the noise only to notice the unknown attacker racing out of the broken window with 'incredible speed'”

"Due to the moonless night, Clune was unable to provide a description of the assailant. He notes that the attacker was thin, above average height and wore some kind of 'red light.'"

There’s also a snapshot on the site of a toy said to resemble the attacker, which looks conspicuously like a Big Daddy. We’ll have more details on BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams as it becomes available.

The first Bioshock was incredible, still the best FPS this generation.  Can't wait to pick this up on my 360.  If you only own a PS3 then make sure to pick it up.  The first one was buggy on PS3, hopefully they will work that out.  Any multiplatform games are a must by on 360 for me.

Most multiplats run better on Ps3 now cos its the lead platform i.e Dead space, Dmc4, Burnout Paradise, Gta4, ive also seen Res 5 demo on both, ps3 version has better colour, lighting and sharpness

I think most big name titles of this generation have all been grossly overrated (MGS, GTA, bioshock, etd), but the production values have been outstanding.  I'm looking forward to Bioshock 2 but I'm not sure I'll buy it right away.
