First BioShock 2 details emerge

The first concrete details on 2K’s BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams have emerged from the depths following the launch of a special teaser site entitled ‘There’s Something in the Sea.’

After rummaging around the site for a while, we can confirm that Sea of Dreams is an actual sequel to the events of the original critically acclaimed shooter, not a prequel as originally suggested.

According to details unearthed on the swanky flash site, the story revolves around the disappearance of a seven-year-old girl from a sleepy fishing town overlooking the coast.

The website states: "Local fisherman Eamon Clune, 44, and his wife Charlotte (32) were awoken by the sudden shattering of a window in the front room," adding, Moments later, his daughter Maura, age 7, screamed. Mr Clune rushed to investigate the noise only to notice the unknown attacker racing out of the broken window with ‘incredible speed’”

"Due to the moonless night, Clune was unable to provide a description of the assailant. He notes that the attacker was thin, above average height and wore some kind of ‘red light.’"

There’s also a snapshot on the site of a toy said to resemble the attacker, which looks conspicuously like a Big Daddy. We’ll have more details on BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams as it becomes available.
