A Japanese commercial for Sony’s upcoming successor to the PSP, the PlayStation Vita, has been spotted airing on TV. In traditional Sony fashion, the commercial wanes towards being a little eerie and unexplainable.

Watch the Japanese TV commercial below.

The PlayStation Vita will launch in Japan on December 17, and on February 22 in the west.

This comercial isnt that hard to understand. They're obviously playing up the augmented reality element of the system buy showing blocks faling away in real life like that, exactly the way the videos of their other AR demonstrations have worked. and it's a 15 second spot, it's not like they can get all that indepth, they just want to tease the audience to get them curious.
