First images of Prince of Persia movie surface

The first on-set images of Jake Gyllenhaal (Donnie Darko, Jarhead) as Prince Dastan in the new Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time film have emerged, showing off his newly-toned body and ancient Persian costume.
The film will feature such actors as Ben Kingsley (Sexy Beast, Lucky Number Slevin) and Alfred Molina (The Da Vinci Code, Spider-Man 2). Also, Quantum of Solace actress Gemma Arterton will appear in the film as Princess Tamina.
The photos were taken on location in Morocco, North Africa, where the movie is being filmed.
According to IMDB.com, the movie will follow the storyline of the game, where Prince Dastan (Gyllenhaal) is tricked and unleashes the Sands of Time, destroying the kingdom and turning its inhabitants into demons and sand creatures. In order to save the world, Dastan and Tamina must return the hourglass using the Dagger of Time.
The movie is being directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) and just began filming last month. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is set to release on May 28, 2010.

the guy is the Prince of Persia. Persian people have hair on their faces and body from the most part. so I see nothing wrong this.
and the character in the game has a beard.

It's hilarious when gamers demand a movie adaptation of of a game they like and also demand it be accurate to the game, then the instant it actually happens they claim it sucks before it's even released. THIS is exactly the reason why Uwe Boll gets to butcher game movies, because idios keep making the studios think that accuracy isnt important to you.

Cool i knew the 1st game had a really nice story for a movie and now they doing it :) good tho there are many other good games out there that should be made into a movie Sony move your a££ and make a heavenly sword or uncharted drake's fortune movie :) those are the ones i and many people i know would love to see into a movie anyhow i can't wait for this one seem's like Max payne and this one are looking good as for street fighter i mean it sounds good and all but i don't think it will be a big deal tho a good fighting movie im sure ^_^ kinda like the 1st mortal kombat.

Yea yeah stop the blabbering because before the movie comes out all you haters are gonna be the first to reserve them tickets and after you finish watching the movie with your friends or whoever, all of you are gonna walk out the theatre talkin about how hot the movie is and end up watching it the next the day!! Just wait till the movie come out!!

My opinion doesnt really matter but I am not diggin the Actor. Hes good dont get me wrong but the Prince was a way slimmer but toned guy. Dont recall all the body hair either. Next they will have Brad Pitt play Solid Snake in the MGS4 movie :( keep it CG!

Well im not going to pass judgment until i see the movie ive been wrong before and ended up sticking my foot in my mouth. Like "Michael Keaton"-"Batman" "Tobey Maquire"-Spider-Man" and "Robert Downey Jr"-"Iron-Man" when i first heard all those actors i just stated are playing those roles I said are you kidding me. but they prove me wrong.

"Oh no...he has chest hair! Oh no he played a gay guy..." WHO GIVES A DAMN. Just because they make a movie based off of a game doesn't mean every aspect of it will be correct. Doesnt make it a bad movie, but hey somebody always has to whine.
