Today at the Games Convention in Leipzig, a new Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer was shown, and, for the first time, we get a good look at a few of the game's bosses.
As with previous trailers, it begins with a Kojima studios credit, fading into the same scenery seen before. Snake is there, accompanied by a few Foxhound soldiers, on their way in search of Liquid. The trailer then takes a turn into new territory: bosses. Four were shown throughout the duration of the video, each hinting at their abilities.
The first boss shown was named Crying Wolf, a brute of a boss who took heavy fire and had enough strength to flip over a bulldozer. Immediately after, a flying boss dubbed Raging Raven enters, shows some moves, and exits promptly. Moments later, Laughing Octopus makes an appearance. He lives up to his name, with four tentacles, and is definitely looking to be one pesky opponent. The last boss shown is Screaming Mantis, a creepy looking boss with two floating allies with her.
An MGS4 press conference is being held at Leipzig tomorrow when even more juicy information should be revealed. Check back for the latest.

niceness
Whoa, They all look extreamly hard in the trailer... The more challenging the better though...
MSG4 can't wait...must have...NOW
Used names from the original bosses aye.. hmm okay.
NO, screaming mantis has to be psycho mantis or some relation
I think the 4 bosses will be the ones of MGS1 revived (like grayfox - cyber ninja) but mutated with something else
MGS4 conference tommorow yay!!!!!!!
the bosses are in some way shape or form related to the bosses from mgs1. screaming mantis used telekinesis to control and kill the soldiers, theres a mounted sniper rifle on the back of crying wolf. the other 2 are the ones with more differences. raven from mgs1 used huge heavy weapons and now seems to have taken on the more literal "raven" persona. also if u watch the gameplay demo, the flying units that bomb the building look just like raven sans the body obviously, so i assume he commands these "ravens". decoy octopus from mgs1 got maybe 10 minutes of screen time and his only known skill was he could look like neone and mimic them down totheir voice and blood type. that doesnt sound to exciting battle wise, so im sure theyre gonna have to get creative to an extent with laughing octopus. it would interesting having octopus vs snakes octocam. who knows.
if u guys pay close attention to the trialer, Screaming Mantis uses Strings to control ppl.(look closely at the persons back, when she is "breaking" he's joints u'll see strings ;).
Yeah i'm gonna assume that these bosses are revived versions of the MGS1 characters they share names with. Possible in cybernetic form or entirely recreated metal gear versions
I need that video on the PSN network pls 1080p woooooohooo so sweet.
Ill take more Mgs4 news anyday. i cant get enough!
Wolf...Raven...Octopus...Mantis...
**scratches head** What year is it? Are we back in the 1990's? Is this the new Metal Gear that's coming to the SONY PlayStation? Is Japan going to be recieving the game first like a lot of other cool games?
Joking aside, that's pretty cool that the bosses in MGS4 have similar names [and features it sounds like from some of you] to those from MGS1. And we can't forget the most important boss(es), Liquid Ocelot. MGS1 all over again. So where's Mei Ling? lol
I' ve seen the bosses and they are crazy , i think this is going to be one of the toughes battle snake ever had
2k8 is GONNA ROCK!!!
psn id: gingo... saw this new trailer and was very impressed, 2008 cant really come soon enough for this game
Seems like these are "relatives" of the bosses in MGS. I'm just guessing tho because the names sound the same.
