Full-length Modern Warfare 2 trailer hits the net

During the NBA playoffs, Activision released the first "real" gameplay trailer for Infinity Ward's upcoming shooter, Modern Warfare 2. The gameplay clip is over two minutes long, featuring never-before-seen characters and locations. It is -- dare we use the word? -- epic. Check it out for yourself right here.

wow not bad at all. hopefully this has a longer story line. from what i've seen it has the makings of a movie lol.

First off this look Freaking Awesome and I cant wait. But with all the weapons they took out I hope they added better one. And Willisc89 It doesnt matter if it has Call of duty on it The people know it a Call of Duty Game cause alot of them played the first Modern Warfare. So get over it beside it sounds better without it anyways,

after studying the video here is what i can collect. the new guns you'll be able to use are the STEYR AUG, Street Sweeper 12 gauge automatic shotgun, shields maybe? (shield takes over perk 3 maybe?) lasers sights on pistols, FN SCAR assault rifle... My predictions on Multiplayer maps will be a jungle themed one because the campaign takes place in Rio De Jianero. Mountainous snow. and a castle (end of the vid)

The graphics do look better than CoD4, have they built a new engine or just optimised the old one? It's hard to tell from a SD video. The motions look far more fluid and its nice to see that the game is starting off from where 4 ended. This game looks far more story driven, a first for the Call of Duty games, maybe why they dropped the "Call of Duty" part.
To people here who seem upset at the weapons taken away, its not like they're taking them away and not replacing them, new weapons are developed and replace old ones all the time in real life so why not in games?
I'm very happy with the trailer and I'm glad theres a new online game on the way.

Shame that out of that whole two-minute video there was only about 3 seconds of actual gameplay. It's yet another COD. Only the fifth one of this generation. Get it while it's hot?

You have to understand where Infinity Ward are coming from on this one. They created COD 1 & 2 and witnessed the muppets at Treyarch badger COD 3. They then took the franchsie off in a new direction with COD:MW and again witnessed Treyarch scr3w up COD:WAW with some of the worst level design yet witnessed in a COD game. To Infinity Ward their baby (COD) has been sullied and ruined. Hey have no control whatsoever over the COD franchise anymore as ActivisionBlizzard own it. However even though Infinity Ward themselves are I believe owned by Activision they still want to develop their own IP they have control over. It appears the the 'Modern Warfare' monicker is just that an IP that Infinity Ward 'own' if you will. I don't care if it has COD in the title, if it plays well put me down for a launch day purchase.

That was the best trailer iv seen all year, was more like a film than a game. Cant wait for this!
Oh and @31: how can you say treyarch screwed up?? They only released the best WW2 shooter ever with World at War.... the b**tards!! Whatever man

@17 i agree, the story line looks rediculous and it's probably going to be pushing some B.S political agenda just like the first one. the gameplay (if you can even call it that since you don't even see any FPS stuff) looks lack luster at best, simular to the first. i dont understand why everyone is spazzing out over this game, IMO FPS games are over done and too many, and this one is just going to add to the pile.

this is a day 1 game for me! i'm buying it for online, i'm sure the guns, vehicals everything will be awesome! i think they should try and make a call of duty movie, i mean this is the 6th game already, i'm surprised we haven't heard anying. guys at the end he says "nice knowing you " and probably calls him a certain cuss word. so, this game is going to get game of the year again!!

i liked the first game but this looks different,tbh it looks worse and i dunno why,maybe cause it aint finsihed yet or maybe they just can`t get anything more out the xbox,graphics look kane n lynch style.
Dunno why everyone is saying it looks amazing.ok flame me lol.

yh i can say its good but the graphics(nowerdays the main things about a game) are quite lacking and almost identical to mw1. luckly mw1 graphics were quite good so this might tbe good aswell.
BUT
bfbc2's multiplayer trailer looks very very sexy and it makes this game look last gen. bfbc2 will beat this game i think but then again mw2 has got like one of the best single player but the multiplayer will be no match for bfbc2. (my opionion)

The campaign looks kinda bland......i'll only play this online, like the first one...but i don't think visually it is where it should be with the talent infinity ward actually has.
