New Final Fantasy XIII/Versus XIII footage on Dec. 13th
Rumor: Splinter Cell: Conviction coming to PS3? For all the PlayStation 3 Call of Duty 4 players out there, listen up. Today we spoke with Infinity Ward's Community Relations Manager Robert Bowling and acquired new information about the upcoming "Features Patch" soon to be released.
Here is a detailed list of some of the improvements Infinity Ward will be including in the new patch:
- Optimized servers
- New Kill cams (grenades, RPG's, airstrikes, claymores, and more)
- Quick Mute (allows user to mute annoying players by pressing X on their gamertag in the lobby)
- Addition of "Recently Met Players" for the PlayStation Network
- Improvements to the Sniper Rifles and Acog attachments (no more delayed shots)
"(With the new kill cams) you can watch from when the grenade leaves the enemies hand all the way to the explosion that kills you," said Bowling.
In addition to the new patch details, PS3 gamers can expect servers to run smoother. The four hour "Downloading Game Settings" bug was due to DemonWares servers having to handle the massive amounts of PlayStation 3 users logging in. With the new optimizations, gamers shouldn't have too many problems with in the future.

COD4 is by far my favorite PS3 game and the best first person shooter I've ever played! no doubt! nice patch any addition to the game is good for me :)
Ive been getting some problems the last two day with it "Downloading Game Settings"
Anyone else having these problems??
COD4 one of the best first person this is going to be a good patch, I also hope that soon they will also release new maps as well, at least 3 or 4 of them. I would like a jungle that would be bad azz, and a map in the nighttime were the night vision would be good to use, I know we have the boat but its to small I dont like the boat. What you guys think
is there any way they could put a patch out that would let more than 1 person online at once?

@Lavery... I've been having the same issue with the "downloading game settings." I almost gave up on it the other day. Instead I just read a book until it finally started working again. Maybe if it always had that I delay I would get more homework done!

Thank God Server issues is listed as the number one feature of this patch!
Lessen explosion damage radius from grenades. I get killed more by random cooked grenades than anything else. Spawn camping also takes place. Fix that problem as well.

@just8 and kidkotic2001 i dont know about u guys but the boat is one of my fav maps its easy to get the top with 35 or 40kills its so open and close that ppl cant hide and make the game slow with there snipers it also shows off your stratigic skillz.One prob i have with cod4 is random spawn in front of an enemy or in frant of a cooked garnade they should fix that also new maps pluse rumble will perfect the game.P.S M4 Carben #1 gun

I've been having a lot of problems for the past couple days: excessive delays while "downloading game settings," getting "server full" messages, not being able to join friends in rooms, etc. What the heck? Is something wrong with the servers or am I going to have to forward my ports and all that crap I've been reading about?
