Polyphony Digital has launched the official website for its forthcoming PlayStation 3 title, Gran Turismo 5: Prologue.

The website features a special introduction by the creators explaining the evolution of the franchise up until this point, as the venerable series celebrates its 10th anniversary this Winter.

Also available to view is a list of cars and tracks included in the game, as well as a preview of the ‘Gran Turismo TV’ feature, which allows users to view the latest machines from the world of motorsport.

Rounding off the website’s content is the usual assortment of screenshots and videos taken from the game for your viewing pleasure.

Gran Turismo 5: Prologue is due out as both a Blu-ray and PlayStation Network download title this holiday season. The game is a precursor to the full version of Gran Turismo 5, and includes a total of 50 vehicles, 5 tracks and allows for up to 16 players to compete against each other online. Full 1080p resolution is also included.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
