Besides the updates in the physics department of the game, the graphics portion has also received an equally impressive upgrade. Cars in Gran Turismo 4 were composed of an average of 4000 polygons. In GT5: Prologue, cars will be composed of an average of 200,000 polygons. The 50-fold increase in resolution shows, as cars in GT5: Prologue appear to have the best models of a car game to date. Polyphony also spent a considerable amount of time ensuring each car was exactly as the manufacture wanted them to be recreated, right down the to pit crew's uniforms. This may seem a petty detail, but it helps serve to even further immense gamers into the races.
The game's AI has also received significant improvements in order to keep racers on their toes. However, as the series has had a reputation of being difficult, the game will include two difficulties, standard and professional. Both are designed to make the game challenging, but standard should allow beginners to the series some breathing space.

Albeit not the final incarnation of Gran Turismo 5, Prologue should serve as a welcome and fine addition to the Gran Turismo line of games. On the heels of the announcement of the Dual Shock 3 controller, the racer will also support full rumble to help feel gamers like they are in the cockpit themselves. The game is currently set to release on December 13 in Japan, with no definite US or EU release. However, the popularity of the series should hopefully help carry the game from Japanese shores.

When talking about the graphic you mention "pixels" . Don't you mean "polygons"?

Wow, 200,000 pixels. I presume they've finally moved away from 3D and gone 2D?

GT5 is one of the reasons I bought a PS3, and if these guys can pull off a great game at 1080P/60FPS then that will be awesome! It will then be believeable that other developers could make games at that same resolution and frame rate.
I can't wait to BUY the demo, but I just hope that it isn't priced near a full game.

What about sixaxis support? I read somewhere that it's not gonna be used during the actual driving. I don't care too much about rumble. For me it would be more immersive to play this game using the sixaxis instead of the analog.

Gran Turismo 5 & Metal Gear are THE only reasons why I bought a PS3. I hope they won't disappoint everyone.

Paul Coroneos-
I cannot believe that you would misinform everyone by stating GT5 Prologue has car damage. Do you have any idea how stupid you are? That information is HUGE and will bring a lot of peoples' hopes up, when it has been stated repeatedly bey every blogging site, and the devs themselves, that it will NOT have car damage.
Not only that, but you don't know the difference between a "pixel" and a "polygon" nor did you know that the opponent AI has and always has been a weak point in the GT series.
Have you even played a GT game you dumbass?

For the lazy...
"
Also at the behest of fans is a working damage model, one of unspecified depth. We didn't see Kaz run into anything during our session, so it was hard to tell if the game features the system in place yet. When asked about the new built-from-the-ground-up AI code and the option for car damage, Yamauchi indicated that CPU controlled drivers are aware of the new penalties for playing "bumper cars." With up to sixteen cars on the track, they need to be aware of each and the danger of spinning out when one comes in contact with another.
Yamauchi says these changes will lead to fewer cars lining up as they had in previous Gran Turismo games."

I think someone needs to edit the article(polygons not pixels).BTW what's the proof of car damage,i know GT5 will have it,but Yamuichi(don't know if i spelt it right) said that they won't be shipping with car damage, and rather they would release a patch when it is ready.
