Green Lantern game to accompany movie?

Video games accompanying superhero movies are usually a letdown compared to the movie itself. With the 2011 release of Warner Brothers’ The Green Lantern, you can bet you’ll see a video game based on the movie.

Venture Beat is reporting that “multiple sources close to the project who asked not to be mentioned by name,” claimed a game concept for Green Lantern has been in consideration for more than a year, but development for the game has recently been jump started. For its part, Warner Brothers hasn’t confirmed the game, but it shouldn’t come as a surprise if we hear a more official announcement about the title.

The game is reportedly in development by Warner Brothers and Double Helix for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Double Helix is responsible for the forthcoming G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra.

The Green Lantern movie is set for release on June 17, 2011 and will star Ryan Reynolds.

    this games going to be garbage because of  Double Helix i mean has anyone seen how bad the new gi joe game looks its like early ps2 horrible graphics

    i like the black green lantern better...but that was the cartoon (justice leagure), but i also like Ryan Reynolds. That guys a F'n trip

    MOVIE + GAME = MOVIE GAMES + CRAPPY GAME = WASTER OF MONEY..          i will go see the G.L> movie though.       i wonder, if it's going to be the green lantern from justice leauge or from the 90s; superman.

    This just in...Crappy Green Latern game to accompany movie which may or may not be crappy. Bad Movie or Good Movie the game is always bad. Well, maybe not Wolverine that game was a lot more enjoyable than whatever the #$#@!! I watched at the theater.

    i hate when an actor plays more than 1 comic book character [ Halle Berry- Storm AND Catwoman], for me Ryan Reynolds = Deadpool, damn Hollywood!!!! .....i hope it turns out good though!!!

    if the game is from the same people that made x-men orgins: wolverine the game will be good. never knew that a green lantern movie was in the mix.
