Killzone 2 developer Guerilla Games has distanced itself from reports that the highly anticipated First Person Shooter (FPS) will be hitting European shelves this September.
The company was responding to a release schedule published on the Internet yesterday, which was later back up by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE)
However, in a post on the US PlayStation Blog, Guerilla Games QA Manager, Seb Downie, stated, "Sorry folks, as before, please take any release dates or months with a grain of salt."
Just to clarify: "If we haven't announced it, it is not gospel."
Stay tuned for further information as it breaks.

They've got to get this game out before the year is over. We haven't seen anything new for over a year and while I know they'll have something to show at E3 this game needs to be done before 2008. Bad enough we have another year before GT5 will be finished (I still can't get over that).

I hope that Killzone 2 can make the September release date. Maybe they will announce the Official release date of Killzone 2 at E3. If Killzone 2 doesn't have an Official release date by E3, just like everyone else, I hope that the game comes out before the end of the year. As long as Guerilla gets Killzone 2 out in the U.S. before the end of the year, they will be doing good.

The release date has been September for some time now. And if Sony finally decides to drop the price, I'll get KZ2 and Resistance 1 and 2 for myself during the holiday season, plus LBP and the other mass of games.

This is really upsetting. Only because their silence points towards a failure to meet their internal development targets. Its either that, or they have something huge for e3. In either way, this game needs to be out this year (2008) or else the sales will not be as good as they can potentially be.
