Analyst expect sony to sell approximately 8 million for the year ending.... wait. All the numbers I gathered showed that they have only sold 5.09 million. I find it a long shot for 11 million but then again i have no idea how to tally the rest of the world in this picture.

 

Edit: I take that back, 1.2 million over the christmas break? Wouldn't that put europs total over 3 million? The PS3 has probably already  hit 8 million sold.

The PS3 is selling about twice as quickly as the 360 has in Europe and thats with no big exclusives and at a high price. When the big games come it will obviously sell far quicker.

So the 11 million is total? WW? If thats the case, it should be easily atainable as its sold 9.2 million WW to date.

according to vgchartz.com the PS3 has sold 9.29M thus far. which means we need 1.71M by March 31st. on average we would need about 170,000 a week. right now we get about 130,000 so I don't think we are going to quite hit that goal but we will be pretty close. A lot of it depends on how much software they release before that date.

genie no its not xbox360 has sold 16.51 million worldwide, 360’s sold in japan 0.56, america 10.52million, and europe and others 5.43 million. PS3 has sold 9.29million japan worldwid, 1.79million in america 3.59 million in europe and others , 3.90million consoles sold. Proving that europes market is tiny compaired to america, who ever wins america will win the console war, stats from ( VG CHARTS).

Sony iz slowly takin back wha iz theirz.....well tha PS2 already held down tha market anyway fo almost 8 yearz(8 bein Oct)....PS2 juz holdin tha throne for tha PS3 warming it up fo it!!!! other numberz dont matter....itz how long u can last n tha game....fo example Xbox and Gamecube couldnt out last PS2 and now PS2 battling tha 360 and Wii along wit hiz big brother PS3 fighting for Sony 2 pull in tha current from all over tha world!!!!

Bedsidelee、xbox360 will NOT win the console war. It really only appeals to 20 and 30-something western males who love shooters and sports games. There aren't enough of them to make the 360 a success on the level of the PS2.

All we can say is wait and see, were making speculation but none of it is fact really their just numbers and that doesn't necessarily mean their accurate but it does give us an idea.

Hey,i saw this last evening,he said they are also hoping GT5:Prologue,would be the killer app,Sony has been DYING for.

11 million seems quite alot to me, but with the dmc bundle, gta4, ut3 and haze (hopefully) coming out before end march sony won't be far from thier mark. ever since i've brought my ps3 all my friend's, seeing how good the games run, are slowly drooping thier ps2 to get a ps3 especially since the last price drop and i will continue to corrupt my friends to the darkside of the force, hahaha!!!! (sorry)
