Home 1.00 already finished?

There is reason to believe that Home version 1.00 is already finished and ready for the open beta to hit shortly. There is definitely no confirmation out of the Sony camp about this; however, a guy over at PS3News has discovered a way for you to download the 1.00 version of Home onto your PlayStation 3.
According to his thread, "I found some interesting thing when i was 'playing' with PS3.ProxyServer. I replaced some xml files, and now I can install PlayStation@ Home public BETA Trial from PLAYSTATION@Network servers in XMB. I think it's to prepare for real open BETA, and that will be unlocked very soon by Sony."
For those of you wanting to jump onto this wagon and get the client installed onto your PlayStation console, the more power to you. Unfortunately, though the client is obtainable, it will not connect to any servers for you to enjoy the Home experience itself.
With all of the recent Home news coming to the surface like the Warhawk update and SCEE promising users a "special update" once the store's redesign is complete, it is easy to see how people could be lead to believe that the Home Public Beta is just around the corner.
As more information comes to light regarding this subject, we'll definitely keep you updated.

@ richkaos Public means us so yes How will you be able to download the open beta thats the question I would like answered though psn store or whatever way them closed beta dudes got it on ps3

Sony are really annoying me at the moment. Just release a Public Beta already! Closed Beta's are stupid because less people get to test them which means it would take longer to find bugs/glitches which means further delays from the delay king - Sony >=-[

@Die-romantic .... PS Home will be downloaded fromt the store....but we are led to believe that there will be a FW update which puts the Home icon on the XMB....there is a FW update to incorporate the new store, so maybe they will sneak the Home icon into the XMB in that update....Hopefully :D

Its being developed in Europe. That means that date is the 6th of April. Hence it was 'created' 3 days ago.

As much as I want to believe this, I find it hard to believe that Home 1.00 is only going to be 192mb. I could be wrong, but I was expecting it to be 500mb +. Question for people who are in the closed beta. What size file is the beta at the moment? - Matt -

I wonder the same thing as you. If you head over to ps3fanboy.com and look at the comments there, someone who might be a beta tester explains it. When you first download Home, it's only your Home space. Everytime you go to a DIFFERENT place you will download that, thus saving HDD usage for people who doesn't go everywhere.Remember, this is not my words so I can't confirm this. -

How bout letting me try it out and then I'll see if it need to be delayed!
I've had every system that Sony made. Its bout time that they start givng back. and really pick ppl for the beta test if there not going to let evey one know how the ppick for the test.

Almost thought this was a hoax with the date. Tricky European setups...
I guess it would be nice to download it now even with no servers, just so you don't have to get stuck in the slow-down the day it releases.

finaly home is here everythign is finaly in place. no more of this uncertanty. all this seems to mean it is basicly here at least hopefully
NOT 4th of june 6th of april think with your heads people its nto a relse date its the time he got it on his ps3
what worrys me is the size of the file !!!
and it will probably be on the cross media bar like they said unless the beta is differant
