Home Closed Beta coming to Asia in September

Today Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong Limited (SCEH) announced that PlayStation Home will be coming to specific Asian territories (Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan) this Fall, with a closed beta beginning in September.

Here's a translation of the press release:
"PlayStation®Home official website for Asia is now available at The Closed Beta testing for PlayStation®Home will be starting from Mid-September 2008. SCEH would like to invite Hong Kong and Singapore users to participate in the Closed Beta testing. The details will be available on the official website from August 29, 2008."
The press release also reveals that following the Closed Beta, the Open Beta service will be released later in the Fall. For more information on the Home Beta in Asia, be sure to continue checking in on the official website.

What? This is a different region from Japan I thought that they were are covered by SCEJ? Sony have a truly bizarre setup.
They need to sort this out and go global on gaming. Forget all this region b0ll0x it's really getting on my nerves. Next week we'll probably have a load of stupid PR goofs from SCEH to grace our eyes/ears.
Who is at the top of all this mess (oh I think that's Kaz "primaraly PR machine" Hirai. What a n00b. Ok the second 0 is optional there

i hate regions !!! why cant sony just release everything for every country in the world ?! i live in kuwait ( Asia ) and i dont we dont have even a PS Store !! though lots of kuwaitins own a ps3.. and only 10 people own a xbox 360 or somethin ... yeah we hate xbox :D :D :D
