Home patch coming this Thursday

It only took almost an entire generation for Home to release to the public and already a handful of complaints have steamrolled in on cue. Some users have had trouble getting into the beta due to age, while others have struggled with error codes popping up on them. On top of that, a lot of expected features that had previously been mentioned have still yet to be implemented. This includes the media & event room, the Red Bull space and various other themed locations.
Home users are also waiting on new stores and content to be made available to them. If social applications like Second Life are anything to go by, this purchasable content is going to be worth a pretty mint down the line. Hopefully Home opens up their doors to user-created content that gamers can enjoy.
Regardless, all of these login issues should be fixed come Thursday. Hopefully it'll be time for everyone to finally come in to Home without trouble.

Hopefully we'll have a bunch more free stuff added to it to make it more unique and less boring as is.

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm having a hard time figure out why this is so hard to implement. Final Fantasy XI has much of the same features and more and it's on the PS2 working without a hitch since 2002. Why is Home so terribly difficult to get running in the PS3 years later?

Haven't been on Home since they made it open to the public. Looked too crowded, even in the closed Beta.

Why don't they make the avatars able to jump in Home? or punch/kick? It would make things much more interesting and fun

Is it THAT much of a problem? It failes because of volume, I try again and it works. Never more than 3 tries (just keep hitting the button). I have never been inspired to quit trying just because it too 3 times to get in the program, sheesh.

Excuse me, but before they do anything else to the American HOME they need to get the EU HOME up to the same standard !! We don't even have the new Home Plaza yet with the Saucer Pop game or the Uncharted or Farcry areas !!

It seems many of us agree that (A) Having no real flexibility over what the avatars look like and variety of their movement makes it very boring (B) That the choice of clothing is very limited and worst still - you actually have to pay for them is plain crazy! (C) That not only is the whole world sterile and free of any user generated / created structures but the available activities are mildly passe at best and walking around this stupid shopping mall is plain boring - like watching paint dry. (D) the style is too contrived and over stereo typed and completely built for f.ags who's only interest in life is to wank off in front of each other and partake in bum burglary. Plus (D) The infrastructure that Home runs on is second rate and can't even handle any reasonably predictable load levels and the code thats been baking for frikken ever still has miles of bugs..... Why Sony Why?
My message to the designers: Onya Sony! fri.kken good work you bunch of lazy poo.fy d.ik heads!

@22 a bit extreme but essentiallu true.
I can see where they want to take home but getting there is so painful for all of us.
Sony seem great at selling us a great idea and then making it look great but when you actually hands on, it sucks.
After following PS3 since inception through its painful birth, I'm starting to think that I wasted all my time and money (well maybe except for warhawk - but they don't seem to push that very hard to fresh meat)
