Home to contain regional barriers

Adding another item to the list of region limited services today, it appears Home will have various restrictions based on locale.
While you'll be able to invite your friends from across the pond to your home space, you won't be able to take them out on the town to experience Home Square or other public spaces. This limitation guarantees that users experience content that is relevant to them, according to Sony. It likely keeps the advertisers happy as well.
I've devised a half-baked solution though: put a bowling alley and pool table in your apartment. It's known to be possible, but you'll most likely have to pay for such content. Regardless, it's a way you can best your foreign friends from the comfort of your virtual home.

also..i dont care how powerfull the servers are...unless its as stable as the internet with millions in the same game together, then everybody in the world being in the same HOME is NOT going to work smoothly at all. Think of it. This isnt a 32 player room...this is HOME, where alot of people are going to goto when they start their PS3's planning to game, i know its gonna be my first stop, to meet up with some peeps after getting the new sweet game.

You make this sound like a bad thing.
After MGO being region locked I've noticed how much I love it.
Some Americans can get rather anoying at times. Recism and high pitched children are only a few of the details I won't be missing.
All I can say is thanks Sony. (No offence intended to the general population of America). -

wait a minute I thought they said they'd integrate "dynamic advertisement" or whatever its called; were in if you're from the UK you only see british ads and and the same with the US and other refions respectively. - I just want to play with my friends and people from all around the world.
@Aperez beware of the quality vs quantity dozy just like in tests would you rather have 5 or 50 questions in yours?

This must be some network error on Sony's behalf. Why can't they have dynamic ads for specific regions? There must be some error when one member from one region and one member from a different region occupy the same space and when viewing the ads there is a conflict. Unless this region locking will help with some bandwidth issues then i'm all for it. But nonetheless I just hope they can release Home without too many bugs, but thats what the open beta is for, so try not to be picky about Home. We know Sony will come through.
