How to score in Grand Theft Auto IV

(continued from previous page) ...pedestrians on the way to your venue. While this high-society woman may seem a bit out of Niko’s league, it really doesn’t stop you from going after a successful woman that is sometimes unsure of what she wants. Kiki isn’t nearly as demanding as Carmen or as risqué as Alex, but she can hold her own in both regards.
Though Kiki is a high-class girl, she doesn’t mind the low-class mentality and actually prefers Niko in his Russian outfitter clothing. Throw on a Fargo hat and some pimped glasses as well and this girl will go wild for Niko. It almost seems too good to be true that LawChick could be this rewarding but she’ll go even one step further for you and legally lower your wanted level if you need it.
You’d imagine Kiki Jenkins as the type of female who would prefer you pick her up in some exotic ride being a law girl and all, though fortunately, she could care less. Kiki will, as likely get into a small-man’s vehicle as she would a Super GT. We’re not sure if Rockstar was just trying to mess with everyone’s heads by swapping what you’d expect certain women to enjoy, but it definitely happened to mess with ours.
By now you’re ready to take Ms. Jenkins out on your date and you still haven’t decided where to take her. With Liberty City offering so many options, it’s sometimes hard to choose, right? While Kiki does enjoy the high-end clubs such as Jerkov’s and Club Liberty; you’ll make out just fine by bringing her bowling or to shoot some pool as well. As expected by Kiki’s laid-back personality, she’s a cool chick to hang with that doesn’t mind doing a guy thing – exception being the strip club.
Now it’s time to get her home so you can hear her tell you how much she loves objections of the naughty variety.

Kate McReary
Packie, Gerry, Francis, and Derrick’s sister, Kate McReary, is basically your dream girl. She understands the life you lead, she’s willing to talk about the decisions you make and most importantly, she respects you. This may have nothing or everything to do with the fact that all of her brothers are degenerates, but we’re going to overlook that. From the very beginning you get the hint that Kate isn’t going to bend over for you that easily. This doesn’t detract from the fact she’ll be the most emotionally attached female in the game for Niko.
Expect to impress Kate in just your basic off-the-boat clothing with nothing more – nothing less. She’s an easy going girl who, like most Irish women, will take their men any way they can get them as long as they’re somewhat respectful. Kate will balk at you with sarcastic remarks if you decide to show up with a suit on and some nice shoes, so don’t try and impress her with how much paper you’re carrying in your wallet; she won’t care. This also pretty much sets you up for a pre-nuptial agreement without much hassle in the event that you two eventually wed.
Showing up in a Solair isn’t going to get her clothing on the floor any faster. She’d much prefer to see you roll up in a Patriot or a Comet. A lot of shallow guys (the majority) are going to be offended that this girl doesn’t want to just jump your bones, but you’ll have to make due and earn your way into the game of love with Kate McReary. She’s the only girl in the game that is going to give you the time of day and not nag you to death over your cell, so take comfort in that fact and just enjoy it.
Bringing Kate out is also the most enjoyable, due to the fact that she’s your stereotypical Irish girl and loves to play pool, darts and of course drink. She’s going to appreciate you whether you whoop her in either activity or lose, which is the complete opposite of the rest of the Liberty City “talent.” When bringing Kate out to drink however, make sure to bring her to the middle class joints like Steinway Beer Garden or Lucky Winkles. Needless to say, getting Kate incredibly drunk ... (continued on next page)

Wow!!!! Too much to read about scoring!
Better spend my time scoring in real life!!! (lame joke, I know)
On the topic, I still dont get caught in the GTA hype. I´ve played the X360 version on Gamestop and after 5 minutes I got bored! I know, I wasnt even trying to catch the story (or multiplayer), just some mindless car crashes, pedestrian runovers and getting the cops to catch me. It still doesnt do it for me. I still dont like the gameplay mechaniscs. CoD4 gives me enjoyment even though I repeatdly play over and over again.

I was soooo hyped for this game. When i first played it i was blown away ....but honestly for some unknown reason it's just not doing it for me anymore...its like im forcing myself to like it more then i really do....its nothing compared to the feeling i got and continued to have while playing C.O.D.4 ....and i was way more hyped for GTA4 ....
oh and by the way i know they're different games....i like both styles....so comparing the two in my case is justified.
and the CHASING people down missions ...OMG i wanna efing kill someone when they get away and you have to start over.....

Lol, I was able to get some after my second date with the first girl! I guess I just have skills.
Edit: PSU banned me for saying her name. This game is becoming more fun the longer I play it.

I agree with you about the underwhelmingness of this game. Yes, it is pretty. And yes, the mechanics are greatly improved. But I would argue that there is not enough to do.
I am a fanboy, but this statement is not because of it: The game is suffering from being multiplatform. There are so many hings left out because there is not enought space. There are only a few outfits. There is no property to buy(which is annoying when you want to save). There really is no point to having money. You keep all the weapons you have when you die and rarely will the police bust you over killing you.
There is just not enough balance, it almost seems like a test. Vice City and San Adreas were the same as GTAIII, but with more stuff. Imagine 5 times more space on the Bluray. I am willing to bet that GTAV (which is already being cooked up) will be exclusive, and it will feel more rounded. I'm already bored with GTAIV.

I agree with you bouth (Totally Twisted & infernaut). I was really hyped for for this game before and during release. I played for about 4 hours and lost interest. All I do no now is plug in the cheats & blow up/shoot everthing in sight. Oh Yeah, and the vehicles are pretty cool too (with the cheats). **SIGH** I will still play COD4 and Rock Band more. That's pretty bad, These 2 games are a lot older yet I still enjoy them more that GTA4.

This is kind of a *spoiler*, not that it totally gives away any major point(s) of the game, but you guys (PSU) might want to consider putting a spoiler notice into stuff like this. People may want to figure these types of things out on their own. Funny stuff though :)

Please don't get on my case for asking this, but is it possible to date guys? I tried to date some marked as "gay' but they all respond with "not interested". Is this at all possible? I figured you could kinda do this in Bully, so it's a little disappointing that so far I can't seem to do it in GTA4.

@chawknz: Nobody should make fun of you, but at least you'll know who all the mature people are here. I think RockStar had enough to worry about with other features getting bashed by media that they didn't need to hear they were promoting gay sex.
---
From what I've heard, GTA IV looks nice but San Andreas was much more fun. I hope I'm wrong when I pick up my copy.

GTA4 is a great game. I am not gay but to be honest with you I think it would be funny to see them promoting gay relation. The way the game is set up with dates and junk is you gotta build up trust and get to know the person then you get to do the deed. Same way gay people do it too. I dont see why they shouldnt of added if and if you want your guy to be gay he should be gay. I really think they just need to let everyone free if a guy wants to marry a guy let them do it the government shouldnt bash on a game since there expressing their views on gay relations threw a game.

Well I'm enjoying this game ALOT. I do think that if this was a PS3 exclusive we would have seen more things added to the game (like more interiors etc).
One thing I'm confused about with the dating is, when you finally get lucky with the girls on the uncensored version do you only see the apartment from the outside like in San Andreas? Or is it like in this pic :
