Speaking with Eurogamer.net, Sucker Punch game director Nate Fox has revealed that the choices players will face during inFamous are not going to be simply black and white and that morality will act as a "tent-pole feature to gameplay."
"There are moral choices available to the player, but I don't want to ruin any surprises," said Fox.
"Morality matters in our game as a tent-pole feature to gameplay. We're not joking around with it. Hopefully you'll have to put down the controller at some point and think about what you want to do."
Admittedly we've heard this song and dance before with past titles claiming to give players choices that will individually have direct effects with the outcome of the game, though only a few have actually delivered. Let's hope Fox's promise rings true.
InFamous is due out exclusively on PlayStation 3 next year.

Mmm, I'm always skeptical when a dev says that.... cuz 99% of the time it ends up that there are right and wrong answers to things in the game and its fairly obvious... even though the devs claimed it would be so hidden you would never notice. Take Fallout3 for example, when presented with dialogue options of "Ok, I will help you... and for no reward" - or "Show me how much money you have first" - or "Frack you, you can die for all I care" - it's dreadfully obvious which one is chosen for a "good moral path".
That said - it doesn't dimenish my need for this game. It looks so insanely sic and fresh, I can't wait. It's right up there with Killzone2, FFXIIIVS and Team Ico's new stuff for 2009.

sounds very interesting, games that allow us gamers to make our own choices always do good.

I'm not gonna lie, that sounds pretty sweet.
Also, I'm not gonna lie, Justin Pinter looks kinda like a flamer. [(watch, he probably runs this site and I'm gonna be banned now. )Possibly goodbye.] -

normally i would agree with you guys but after playing fable 2 (yes i have a 360) i can say that even thought i was trying to be 100% good there was some points in the game in which i went bad because the consequesnce was too great like when *spoiler* close to the end you could safe this girls beauty by giving your own away in this even though i was good i didn't give my beauty away and made her give it up and she became old and crappy looking.*spoilers* so devs are definetly getting better at morality and i could see InFamous having great morality features
