@ gorillanuts - Metal is better conducter of heat then plastic is. The case may get warmer. Not sure if that will affect the temp of the internal componets or not.

I'm curious why they are not shipping it with the new rumble controler. Maybe they are but just saying sixaxis.

Come on people, its not really made of STEEL. It is a plastic console made to resemble steel. Do know how expensive and heavy that console would be? lol

This is not news! The box has been on Amazon.com for a week or so, much better picture than this place provides. Check it out! It's the actual box it comes in, not sure if the PS3 looks much different.

@Towlie - I don't think the box you saw had the "Steel" PS3 on the cover though. Umm I was really waiting for this, but now I'm not sure. There really is nothing too special about it, or maybe it's just a bad pic. I'll probably still get it though, it says Metal Gear Solid on the bottom which is kinda cool.

I already have a PS3, but this limited edition PS3 is making me want to buy it so bad. I mean, just think how much this console will be going for on Ebay 10 or more years from now and the value it will have. I wonder how long the Limited Edition PS3 will be for sale.... all I know is that this will be flying off the shelves and Xbox 360's will be collecting dust in June.

Stop complaining about DUAL SHOCK it will probably be included because its coming out in june.  If you want it so bad go to ebay.  I just bought a white DS 3 off ebay a few days ago for $58 ($3 over msrp).  That price is including shipping and handling so I dont see why you wouldnt just go buy one if you want it so bad.  What are you afraid of, the Japan stuff on the package?

only thing that im excited about is the fact that MGS is coming to the ps store, i know it says japan, but why wouldnt they want to release here in the states...that what i really want seeing as i never played the first one....cant wait for MGS4 tho, MGS 2 and 3 were great (especially 2) but MGS4 is gonna blow them right off the map

This PS3 is NOT made of steel!!!! it just looks that way!!! it's the same damm PS3 except the paint has a matte finish intead of the polished look!!! If this was made of steel it would be extremely heavy!! Steel is heavy you know... I swear these peeps are in grade school. "Ignorance is Bliss".
