A recent hands on preview posted by PlayStation World UK editor Ian Dean has hinted that Guerilla Games’ upcoming shooter Killzone 2 will feature four-player campaign co-op.
The company has already confirmed that a post-launch patch will add co-op play to Killzone 2, though it was unclear as to how many players would be supported and whether it would be offline or online only.
"And then there’s the four-player co-op campaign to look forward to. Now that really could be something special," wrote Dean.

Killzone 2 is set to release February 2009, with a mutliplayer beta for press is expected to launch sometime later this year. Stay tuned to PSU.com for more information as we've contacted Sony for official confirmation.

Its great that it'll have co-op, four player co-op at the for the campaign mode [which will be online]. But I really hope that it has at least two player co-op offline for the campaign.
To that person above, its already confirmed in a number of websites including the official one that it'll have vehicles in multiplayer and co-op for Killzone II through patch.

The Guerrilla Games QA Manager has denied several times that neither GG nor Sony have said anything about coop. The writer of the article mentioned must've been drunk when he wrote the article. Check out killzone.com and Ask The Dev if you don't believe me. Coop would still be nice though. Killzone will not have split screen, and thank God for it. Now they can take full advantage without having to process twice as much stuff as normal. Really, online co-op or LAN FTW.

Like I said, no one said whether it will or won't have off/online coop, and no one has confirmed LAN. So far, all we know is Online Multiplayer and offline/online bots.
Why would they have to process twice as much? Basically everyone is in favour of offline multiplayer and coop, and it wouldn't take too much to patch it or include it at release.

I hope there is an offline, split screen, co-op for the campaign. Fewer and fewer shooters have it and I love to play with my sons. The only reason we have a 360 is Gears of War and the split screen campaign. I would most likely not purchase Killzone 2 if it does not include it. That is my favorite way to play games.
