King of Fighters XII delayed, slightly

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release of King of Fighters XII has been delayed, SNK Playmore announced today. The game was originally set to release on July 16, but citing a desire to deliver a higher quality product to its users, the company has delayed the game to a TBA July date.
The first-ever next-gen King of Fighters game features high-resolution fighters competing across 100% hand-drawn backgrounds. A total of 22 fighters appear in the game , including classics like Mature and Elizabeth Blanctorche. The game supports full online combat with the promise of unspecified downloadable content.
SNK Playmore said it would provide more specific release dates as they become available.

Great......just effin great. Anyways....like thanatos77 said, BlazBlue will just hog all of the attention until SNKP gets their act together.

KOF aint neva out done SF in anything but being bad and out dated.
Relaaaaaax, Im not gonna bring up all of SNK's past because today has dawned a new day on them.
It marks the relase of a REAL sequel to their KOF franchise. 98 and this one are the only ones that exist now lol. Everything inbetween was 98+, 98+A, 98EX=D-,+A, ect., etc.
What I can't get over is they STILL kept that ugly, murky, sprite coloring style. The Art Style in general has not evolved with the game and seems to put it back into NEOGEO era...but not in the good old nostolgic way. More in the, "It's still ugly?", way.
What I mean is, look at Street Fighter 2, Alpha 3, and Street Fighter 3. They all have 3 distinct looking art styles. SNK probably was trying NOT to do that, is what I mean.

Delay and polish as much as you want SNK. I like my fighters 100% complete and well-made. 2009 has shaped up to be a great year for fighting games. Blazblue is already in the mail so once it arrives it will very well make up for having to wait a bit more. Plus SF4 and SC4 are taking up alot of my gaming time as well so no rush! :D

KoF has a genious plot and the best characters also better attacks than any fighting game. Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami are the best!

Probably delayed it because a few reviews really trashed it, like Game Informer.
