Konami confirms European MGO tournament

Metal Gear publisher Konami has today announced its inaugural European Metal Gear Online tournament, offering an all-expenses-paid Tokyo trip for bagging first place.

The initial competition takes place on August 15, with Konami hosting four tournaments per week for six-man teams competing in Direct Elimination Team Deathmatch. Those fortunate or skilled enough to make it through the heats will face a final playoff in September.

The winning team will then be whisked away to Japan to compete in the Grand World Finals at Tokyo Game Show, where further prizes await our budding young heroes.

    I love this game but my first Survival matches taught me that I can't play at competition level.  It is very hard online.  I don't see how people headshot that fast.  I hide a lot and CQC people.  That is simply the most gratifying kill in all of online games, lol!

    MGO rules!       except online is anoying when people lag and shoot you when youre behind a wall!

    man, the winner must be godly in headshots, cqc and all...i hate to go up against him/her...great game but the learning curve is steep and i'm below average, but i love the game

    Havent played the game in ages. Wouldnt mind to a have tournament, looks fun.
