With Metal Gear Solid IV set to release worldwide this June, exclusively for the PlayStation 3, Konami is not taking any breaks which elucidates why they have recently teamed up with the Spanish videogame developer, Mercury Steam, to develop an unannounced title for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.
Konami explains that this title will be a major role-player in their 2009-2010 lineup. Dave Cox, the head of product planning at Konami Digital Entertainment explains:
"With the development of New International Track and Field coming to an end, it is fitting that we are ready to announce this significant addition to our European Development roster.
"Mercury Steam is an exciting and very talented group, and their plans for the first Europe-grown title for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are both ambitious and ground-breaking. We look forward to unveiling full details of this stunning title further down its development cycle."
Like mentioned above, there are no details which surrounds this title other than it is expected to be one of the bigger titles in 2009 or 2010. We'll keep you informed about anything and everything that surfaces up on this latest Konami project.

Kojima was just complaining about the lack of space on a BD-50 and now Konami wants to jump down to 1/6 of it? Does NOT make sense...

I have to agree with a few other people on this one. Konami barely made MGS4 fit onto a 50GB Blu-Ray disc, and now they want to make a multiplatform game? Ha ha. I guess the 360 version of this new game will come out on 3or 4 discs or something. I think that developers are being held back when they develop for the Xbox 360.
I hope that this new title is an action/adventure game or a 3rd person game of some sort... I don't even want to see another FPS made by another developer next year. I can't wait to see what type of game this will be.

As long as Kojima Productions make great PS3 exclusives, they'll keep my custom. I'm kinda bummed with what Konami's doing with Silent Hill, neither SH Origins nor SH5 have that magic the first three TRUE Silent Hill's did. I hope the original SH team is working on something amazing, preferably PS3 exclusive making the most of its superior spec.

@ Hush404 you are so right... MG isn't the only series KONAMI has had a part in... but to my knowledge... MG and ZOE are the only two titles to be made by "GOD" himself... Hideo Kojima.... (Clapping and sh1t)..... w/e Kojima Productions is willing to make, Konami will just want in cuz they know that sh1t gon sell fosho... for example... us eagerly awaiting MG and ZOE fans... we got MGS4 on the way, and we can only hope pray for a new ZOE... "GOD", i hope your reading this sh1t... UPDATE: and let's not forget Lunar Knights... another K.P. masterpiece...
