Leipzig: Disney is next up for SingStar franchise

Sony Computer Entertainment today announced development of SingStar Disney, the latest instalment in its multi-million dollar selling SingStar franchise.

SingStar Disney affords gamers the opportunity to partake in the series traditional karaoke experience, only this time you’ll be able to sing along to your favourite Disney tracks while a clip of the corresponding movie appears in the background.

A release date has yet to be announced.

    Oh wow. this is huge, not that im going to buy it. But imagine if they got tracks of High School Musical, and Hannah Montana. Kids would  be screaming for this. Good deal for Sony and Disney.

     Not that I would even think of purchasing this, but x_terna makes a good point. It would be smart of Sony to release only on PS3 then the little kiddies would be screaming for a PS3 so they can sing Hannah Montana and HS Musical.

    People who were already attracted to something like Singstar would be the kind of person to go for the Disney deal as well.

    Good, good move by Sony. They'll have kids going ape shlt to get themselves a PS3 for Disney Singstar. Now, for Sony to bust at the ads...

    Why are people saying no, then dont buy it, it could have casual gamers and parents buying a PS3 for high def movies, cause blu ray is becoming bigger, and they could have this game for there kids, it could get more casual gamers in. I think it is a good move by Sony
