Heavy Rain director David Cage has confirmed that the highly anticipated thriller will include support for Sony’s PlayStation Home service when the game launches in late 2009.

Cage divulged the information at a screening of the game behind closed doors at the Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany earlier this morning. However, no details were given as to what form of Home integration we can expect.

Heavy Rain has already received high exposure at Leipzig this year, with Cage having previously demonstrated how the game’s controls will work, in addition to hinting at the possibility of downloadable content for the PS3 exclusive title. A demo of the game has also been confirmed.

Stay tuned for more coverage on Heavy Rain here at PSU in the near future.
