After the disappointing news that Killzone 2 will be pushed back to February of 2009, it comes as a sigh of relief to learn that LittleBigPlanet is still on schedule. Expected to release in October of this year, Media Molecule and Sony have confirmed at today's event that the game will meet its target release date.

This user-content driven title has been on many people's radars for the past couple of years and has been very highly anticipated. With a lot of the bigger titles seeing more than a couple of delays throughout their development, LittleBigPlanet seemed to push forward without much of a hitch. The game will play host to a strong physics environment unlike any ever seen before it and will give its users an unlimited amount of gameplay to enjoy, so long as they have an internet connection and are able to download new environments from other users.

If anymore information or updated news is released on LBP today, we'll be sure to update you guys as it happens.

@Die-romantic, I hope you are right but I doubt it.  I think KZ2 would have but not LBP.

I expect this to be one awesome game. They have been working on this sucka for a long time now. With the delays and everything, they should have this bad boy looking and feeling very sharp.

I don't remember anyone ever saying September, but I am glad to see it is still on track for the Fall.

@MrMadJ:  Yes there was a Beta announced a week or two ago, but the way it was said was questionable to whether it was public or private.

One game on track, lets not stop. Sony you need to push harder to get these games out. You are lacking, and you put out so many I.O.U to all the ps3 owners that its time to put out. Get at me.

if you look at the banner just above the article is says September. One month delay is not that bad, but its still a delay. Could be worse like KZ2 now for 2009!!!

and if you really wanna see ppl snap and have a heart attack, all someone would have to say is that MGS4 is gonna be delayed. cuz lemme tell you i would be pissed, I paid the Pre-Order YO!!!!
