LittleBigPlanet to get extensive DLC

Media Molecule boss Alex Evans has confirmed the company intends to bombard PlayStation 3 owners with additional content for their cutesy build-em-up, and not all of it will be free.

“I can say that if there’s any way we can reward the community, we’ll go there,” he stated. “If the people are clamouring for big chunks of content, it would make total sense for us to do it."

Indeed, the much-touted 'saviour of the PS3 seems designed from the ground-up to take advantage of such opportunities.

“We’re just exploring all options at this point," Evans continued. "Sequels? Yeah, why not? DLC, why not? Paid-for content, why not?”

Time to get that credit card registered on the PSN, LittleBigPlanet is all set for release in Europe on October 29.

good news but forget the pay for download content, i wont be buying any of it, i keep still playing burnout paradise, because they keep giving us free content, and i spend alot of time playing PC games because add ons and mods are free thats what keeps the game alive, example:- cod 4 on pc we have zombie mods different rifle mods from cod2 ect and  we can change the game content, and there is hundreds of downloadable maps for games and all FREE. thats why PC gaming owns and always will do, and console owners get taken for a ride, because its all about ££££££££££££, and greed....and as for sall123 woo first post someone delete his post its pointless and not commenting on the issue.

I wonder how optional content will work... I mean, what if MM adds water to the tools for a price, i buy it, and put it in my lvl... So does that mean that people who didnt pay for the extra content wont beable to play on my stage...?

@ 4, I agree with post # 6.  Playstation_3 your post is just as pointless.  Does it really bother you that much when someone says first post?  Who cares man, get a life.  PC gaming is fun but that is not what this section it about.  On topic; LBP is going to be the most fun and customizable game yet!

I was expecting that after game conventions this site would be a deadhouse for a week I was thinking exactly what 'post 7' said, I don't know how that would work.

I don't like this new industry trend: pay for the game and for DLC available at launch.

I had no idea the PS3 needed a "savior" lol

If the PS3 needs a savior then the 360 needs some kind of god or something.
