LucasArts’ stylish Star Wars romp The Force Unleashed is set to receive all-new playable characters as well as a new campaign mission for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 via downloadable content later this year.
First up, players can expect a slew of new characters next month including Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto, all of which are "based on what we heard from fans," according to Executive Producer, Haden Blackman.
In addition, the company will be delivering a new mission set in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant at some point later in the year. Apparently, this particular stage was on the cards for appearing in the retail version of the game, but was ultimately scrapped when production began.
"I wouldn’t rule out any future content on The Force Unleashed," said Blackman. "There’s easily another two dozen we could make into levels. This is a good way to continue the story."
