In addition, boxart for the Standard Edition copy has also been issued, which can be viewed below.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is unequivocally one of the most highly anticipated videogame releases of the decade, and once again pits gamers in the shoes of series veteran, Solid Snake.

With the fourth instalment in the critically acclaimed action/stealth series, players are transported to war-torn battlefields of the Middle East, as Snake embarks on his final mission in an effort to eliminate the notorious Liquid Ocelot.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is due out worldwide on June 12.

I´ll try to get the Limited Edition.

The special edition will come out with a special package, a bonus bluray disc with interviews with Kojima (among others), making ofs and a Cd with the game soundtrack.

The special edition is what I was expecting, because the image has the same sketch look as MGS2 and 3

I just pre-ordered the Special Edition this week, I really like the box-art for that one and like the hand drawn look of the Special Edition. But, I really don't like the box-art for the regular edition because it's just a big picture of Snake's Face.

I love to draw and that's the main reason why I like the Special Edition over the Regular Edition and the hand-drawn look just gives it a more authentic look to me. I'm pretty sure that if you ask artistic people which version they like better, most of them will probably tell you that they like the Special Edition more. It didn't really take that much time to produce the Regular Edition box art since it's just computer graphics, but someone actually had to sit down for a few hours and hand-draw the Special Edition boxart.

Man, this is one of the most anticipated games EVER, it's just crazy. We've got exactly 61 more days from today (April 11th) until it comes out.

Wow, this limited edition boxart totally made up for the standard edition box art. I didn't really like the standard edition boxart, but I'm very much pleased with the Limited Edition boxart. Wouldn't you think that the standard edition game case comes inside the limited edition box though? So technically, if you get the limited edition, you get both box arts.

Wow I can't believe how hideous the standard edition of this game looks. It is completely uninspired and unoriginal. The boxart of MGS games has been epic from Sons of Liberty to Subsistence and for the conclusion of the series this is what they are giving fans? Ugh

Hey everyone today I went to go pre-order my copy of MGS4 to get the Saga Disc. Well I went to GAMECRAZY and asked them I wanted the Limited Edition version and he said they got a letter from Konami saying it was CANCELED. The only Limited Edition available is if you purchase the Bundled
MGS4 PS3!!!! Anyone else hear about this. Oh but I still preordered the regular edition and received my Saga Disc.
