After being touted the best baseball game for it's 2007 version, MLB 08: The Show is getting ready for it's March 4th release by releasing a demo for the game on the PSP and the PlayStation 3.

The demo will go live on Thursday as part of the PlayStation Store's weekly update on both the PS3's store and the PC's PSP store. MLB 08: The Show is looking to keep its status as a top shelf baseball game as the game will have some brand new features to show off (although unsure of whether the demo will have all of these features).

This year's version of the MLB franchise will feature custom soundtracks, which is a long sought after feature that PS3 owners have been asking for from all their games.

"My MLB Music will allow you to take the music you have on your PLAYSTATION 3 Hard Drive or on your PSP Memory Stick Pro Duo and create your own Jukebox Playlist....Once loaded with your My MLB Music custom playlist, you can navigate the menus, check out stats, and train up your Road to the Show player with your custom music playing in the background."

For those that don't have their music libraries on their PS3 or PSP the game will feature a soundtrack with such artists as The Ramones, WAR, A Tribe Called Quest, Queens of the Stone Age, ZZ Top and more. So if you're a baseball fan, check the PlayStation Store for the demo tommorrow.
