Developed by 4A Games, Metro 2033 was first shown as an upcoming post-apocalyptic FPS for the PC and PS3. The storyline is based on the writings of Russian author Dmitriy Glukhovskiy, where humanity is almost annihilated and due to the nuclear fallout, survivors must live in the tunnels of the broken metro systems.

Players take the role of Artem, a young soldier who must reach the underground city of "Polis" to warn them of incoming attacks from "The Darkness" (mutated humans and animals). During the fight to the inner city, players must weave their way through all the different political organizations and governments. According to 4A Games, NPC’s will live out their lives independently outside of the player’s interactions, giving the game’s society a more realistic feel.

PSU contacted 4A Games for an update to make sure the game was still alive. This is what they had to say:

"The game is in production, we have signed this project with a major worldwide publisher. However I cannot give you any more info as the game has not been officially announced yet. Should take a couple of months until announcement, and then we’ll be able to provide you with lots of info."

Possession:

Developed by Blitz Games, Possession was an unique RTS game that mixed 3rd person action with the ability to control armies of zombies. The title was first revealed at E3 2005 and was due to release on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

The object of the game was to use a creature known as "The Enslaver" to destroy an entire city by controlling an army of the dead built from its inhabitants. Using certain commands, players could control hundreds of zombies giving specific tasks to destroy objects or people as well as mutating zombies into different types, each having unique strengths and weaknesses.

Built using Blitz’s "Flame" engine, Possession was one of the first titles to incorporate Natural Motion’s Euphoria animation technology. Also the game featured extensive destructibility, turning a modern American city into a virtual war zone of destruction with the streets degrading as the battle progressed.
