Motion-sensing is 'possible' for FIFA 11

FIFA producer David Rutter has hinted that Sony and Microsoft’s new motion sensing peripherals may be compatible with next year’s FIFA 11, though asserted the technology would not be incorporated “because it’s something we’re asked to do or it’s something people think we should”.
Quizzed on whether or not the firm had any ideas as to how Natal and Sony’s unnamed Wand device may be utilized with FIFA, Rutter replied: “Quite a few. It’s early doors on all that. It’s funny. He (Peter Moore) said that and John Riccitiello said you’d never want Natal to control FIFA (he said: "I really don't know if you're going to want to play FIFA with a motion control device. First off, a 75-minute session would be frigging tiring, jumping all over the place. And frankly the traditional controller is pretty fun.”).
“There are a few things we could do, which we’re thinking about doing at the moment. But it’s not something that’s suddenly going to manifest itself in FIFA 10.”
Asked specifically whether or not we might see motion-sensing in FIFA 11, he said, “Possibly,” adding, “We’ll have to see.”
“I’m a big fan of, and I’ve said it a number of times and I’ll say it again, if it’s not good enough it won’t make it in. Don’t just want to put something in because it’s something we’re asked to do or it’s something people think we should. If it doesn’t add to the overall thing, then it’s pointless. I don’t want it to be just this distraction, to be quite honest."
"There are a few things we can do, definitely, but we’ve not really started on it yet.”

Mistake there Mike.
Here's what you wrote:
"FIFA producer David Rutter has hinted that Sony and Microsoft’s new motion sensing peripherals may be compatible with next year’s FIFA 11, though asserted the technology would not be incorporated 'because it’s something we’re asked to do or it’s something people think we should'."
The way you're quoting him, makes it seem like as if David does not want to incoporate it "BECAUSE" it's something that they were asked to do or it's something people think they should do.
Which confused me at first...so he doesn't want to do it because he was asked to do it or should do it?
Then I read the article and it said: "Don’t just want to put something in because it’s something we’re asked to do or it’s something people think we should."
Which makes more sense. He's saying that they don't want to do it "JUST BECAUSE" they were asked to do it or something people think they should do...if it's not a worthwhile feature. Or that it doesn't add something to it all.
The way you quoted it, is wrong and taken out of context. Not on purpose I'm sure, just a mistake probably because you did quote him fully later on.

Natal seems like a more feasable(sp?) piece of equipment for a FIFA game although like the article said, it would be tiresome after a while. I dont see a way they could incorporate Sony's motion control other than throw-ins... But couldnt that already be done with the Six Axis/DS3??

To play FIFA 11 you:
Stick out your leg
Grab a roll of duct tape
Secure the Motion Sensing Device with duct tape
Kill the heck out of your room, and break stuff
Look like a moron kicking in the air
Have your shoe fly off and break your T.V.Sounds fun....
