New BioShock PS3 tidbits emerge from the depths

The latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly features some new information on the forthcoming PlayStation 3 port of 2K Games’ popular shooter, BioShock.
First and foremost, the publication states that the graphics will be the same as the Xbox 360 version, although there is a possibility they may receive some minor upgrades.
The PS3 iteration will also incorporate all the Plasmid and other ramifications released for the 360 version via downloadable content right out of the box, with the developers stating they are working with Sony to possibly "extend and augment the game.”
2K Boston added, "whatever we end up with via our discussions with Sony, coupled with the fact that BioShock allows you to go through and roll your own shooter in the first place...these two factors together would turn into a motive for replay."

sounds good to me i will definatley give it a playthrough. Not sure if it will gain a permanent spot in my collection but we shall see.

I was hoping for better graphics. All the Downloadable Content (DLC) is good. Maybe we'll even get more?

IM LIKEING THE IDEA OF BIOSHOCK COMING TO PS3 BUT IM SICK OF HAND ME DOWN GAMES FROM OTHER CONSOLS. LETS SEE HALO 4 PS3 Exclusive. haha lol. where would all the dumbash xbox fanboys be with out there only good game on xbox.

If you cant look into making it better the second go around by putting it on the ps3 why bother. We have better tools to make it better on the ps3, so use them all and I will promise that your next game that all ps3 user will pick it up.

Even if it's a late-coming port, what sells me the most is that 2K will be working with Sony to "extend & augment" the current version. That matters to me most more than anything because it shows that they're willing to do a little more to make sure it's solid. A way better solution than just letting them port it the best they can and hope for the best.

Is anyone elses EGM taking longer than usual to get to you? I usually get the June issue at the beginning of May and I have yet to get my copy.

If you've seen it on the 360... it looked awesome! If it's identical, then it's a must buy. The graphics could be improved on every game made, but do you want them to delay the game for a year or more just to tweak the graphics? No! The game is fine as is... release it soon and all will be well! Google PS3 graphics vs 360 graphics and see what you get... quit whining!
