New Home Details - random weather, money system & more

A fresh batch of Home details have been divulged following a meet and greet with users in the closed beta and fellow Home bosses Lucas_Star, CyndoniaX and Tdog. According to users, the meeting was pre-arranged via message of the day and took place at Home’s Central Plaza between 8-10pm eastern time.
Among the details revealed include the following:
- Home Open Beta will begin either December 15th or the 30th.
- There will be a random weather system (producing rain, snow, etc)
- There will be a currency system
- Home Open Beta will be only be for users 18+
Further information was also revealed about the new money system, with the developers stating that PlayStation 3 users will earn money for unlocking Trophies, as well as receiving money for Trophies already acquired.

Almost everyone under 18 that made a PSN account set their age to or past 18 so it won't really matter. Glad to see an open Beta though.

Oh, home money for trohpies is the best idea ever! I got my beta invite yesterday and Home is awesome, now with money to customize my apartment and stuff, it will be even greater and I was worried because, you know, cool as it is, I won't spend money I could be spending on games on stuff to make my avatar better, but if the currency is trophies, then Home will be a great part of my Playstation life!

If you google "home user generated content" (without the quotes) you will see that technically they have no problem making a system for user generated content, the problem is that there is no way to control the content so children aren't exposed to pornography and stuff like that.
So between ditching user generated content or ditching people below 18 years old, I guess they chose to ditch the kids.

Glad to here they finally made trophies worth something. Too bad for the people who kept bad mouthing home but have a hardon for trophy collecting. 18+ is because there are more "adults" in there than anyone else which means cursing over mics, possible preditory behavior and such, not something you want to expose a kid to.

I'm sorry, but all this is fake. Half of the rumors contradict what we've been told in the beta forums over the past few days.
These rumors were started at the Pool Party event in Home last night by a few people trying to impersonate the Home managers/developers.
I can say with absolute certainty that Home will not drop the profanity filter, and that 13+ will be allowed to get in to HOME.
This article should be listed as rumor, because that is exactly what it is. None of this is true, and there is no official word available anywhere.

ummm , I have tried to like this ,got invited saturday played with it for 20 mins and felt sick to my stomach, Sony is in serious trouble, granted its just a beta ,they should probably try and focus on improving our online network, xbl offers community play dates,ladies night,game with fame , I am in no way a fanboy,just simply dig games in general ,get with the program Sony.

I bet they will release Home on the 15th and 30th of december. This way they can invite half the psn users one day to do a final load test on there servers to see if it can handle all the people, then they will release Home to the rest of the world on the 30th..
