Sony has announced that the third installment of downloadable content for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be available on April 22. The Siege Expansion pack features the first add-on co-op game type (Siege), plus two new multiplayer maps, six new skins, and 11 new trophies.
The new co-op game type, Siege, will pit two to three players against the AI with an objective of capturing and holding territory against waves of increasingly difficult enemies. The idea here is to keep the AI from assaulting the player’s position, plus all players must remain in the territory to capture it. You’ll compete in one territory per round with locations changing every round.
The two multiplayer maps include The Highrise and The Museum. The Highrise map towers over the streets of Nepal, giving players lots of opportunities to get the high ground on opponents. You’ll have to navigate a series of destroyed and under-construction buildings, while the occasional airstrike clears off the rooftops.
The Museum map is set at dusk in the courtyards and display cases of Drake and Flynn’s heist. You’ll find a mix of intense gameplay via the numerous twisting corridors, several flank routes, and secret climbing routes.
