why would you have inventory issues so long after launch? demand is high, but i doubt its THAT high.

and how many months would you say your inventorry hasn't been in stock?  because the PS3 is kicking a** and taking names.

 I can't believe what that fool Greenberg said,"We have significantly better value than Sony". Give me a break. Microsoft can't even fix the Red Ring of Death problem with the Xbox 360, all they can do is come out with new chips that "lower" the failure rate, and Greenberg is saying the 360 has a significantly better value.. Ha!

I have not seen any signs of Xbox 360 shortages in my area.

Oh yea, and Greenberg failed to mention the sales of the Xbox 360 compared to the PS3 overseas because the PS3 has outsold the Xbox 360 in Europe and Japan. Microsoft probably thinks that they don't need to capture the overseas markets. All Microsoft cares about is the U.S. market.

I think that even when Xbox 360 is in full stock this year, the sales of the PS3 and Xbox 360 will remain pretty much the same. I know for sure that the Xbox 360 might do well in April just because of GTA4. There will be people that might just go with the 360 as a cheaper alternative just to play GTA4 and I just hope that  it wont happen.

They have been in stock everywhere I have gone. This gen has been all about giving back for M$. Give back your broken 360, and now give back your obsolete HD media device.

I agree with everyone, I went to Wal-Mart yesterday and I saw a bunch of 360s in stock. I don't think there has ever been a time since it launched that I've gone to a store and have seen them out of stock. I think SOME people might buy the 360 because it's cheaper just to play GTA4 but I also think there are a lot of PS2 owners who are VERY used to playing GTA on their perfect PS controller, and are also waiting for GTA4 to release on the PS3.

The XBOX would RROD before you could finish downloading that HD media to it...  Actually GR8ST the XBOX does come with HDMI but I think it is only the Elite one that does..Maybe the arcade as well not 100% sure

Stupid move on M$ part they should have taken the Blu-Ray but sucks for them and by the way where are these people who cannot fing 360 because since they first lauched i have never had problems finding one in the store.

Supply constraints is right.  My girlfriend had to wait 3 weeks to get her 360 replaced at BestBuy.  She even upgraded to an Elite in hope that it was more reliable.  I'm to the point of thinking that either a lot of people are having to get replacements or Microsoft is keeping the supply low to create demand.

Outsold 2 to 1?  Does this count all the replacements?  Were they only in stock the first year the 360 was out and had no competition?  These comments seem very vague with no credibility to them whatsoever.  There is no way the retail demand is this high.

investing in online distribution over BluRay makes sense, I don't see BluRay having a long shelf life anyway.  But surely MS's biggest issue is a console that is not robust.

Last time I checked, lower price does not always mean "Better Value".  Yes it has a small advantage price wise, but in no way is it the better value.  It is fast becoming obsolete, were as the ps3 has even reached it's full potential yet.  I hate microsoft more and more everytime they talk s**t.  They are a bunch of arrogant pricks.

Ive rented one of their so called HD films off the marketplace and the picture quality is no where near as good as a BD disc. The Xbox downloads are all at 720p rather than the 1080p that Blu-ray offers. In short, they suck!

I don't understand how they can say that 360 is outselling PS3 2-to-1.... Since Nov. 2006 the 360 has sold 12.1 million units, PS3 has sold 10.8 million units (at a much higher price I might add).  Tell me if I'm wrong... is 12 million twice as much as 11 million?????  I think M$ needs to send their execs back to grade school.

I prefer that price was lower than having a Bluray in Xbox 360 anyway. Ive got one in my PS3 already and dont use it much for movies cause I only got two and I dont watchem anymore.
